Commented that he seemed an underwhelming signing at the time, but many on here were really happy with it, like really happy.
Thought he did well Saturday against Blackpool but TBH they were a poor side.
Like everyone else, I really do hope he comes good, he's more mobile than Martin but doesn't seem to be in the right place yet to get on the end of anything & this might come with time.
What sort of forward is he? I think it's not yet clear what his role is in the team & this is where Pearson needs to demonstrate why he signed him.
Still feel the same tho - underwhelmed really. No scapegoating as I loathe that on here just nothing has changed for me yet. However, I absolutely want him to succeed & my opinion to be altered.

Thanks for this. What an awesome day. I was in the second row, Block B Dolman (insider knowledge, as soon as the gates opened I said to my mates follow me and we legged it across to the Dolman stand, overlooking the stage).
Amazing you experienced that gig Sir - been trying for years to get a high res image to blow up, print & frame.
It's a such fascinating combination of an iconic image in a place we call home.

Apparently we were talking to Castore as the new provider but they would only produce template kit whilst O,Neil’s would allow bespoke designs. No fan of this kit as others have said, the badge is horrendous.
I don't understand the club's obsession with designing "original" or "nostalgic" kits & training wear, it's not like there particularly good at it. Almost seems like they do it for the sake of it.
Surely the club would sell far more City-branded Castore kits that are on-trend in cut & finish than some hokey Gaelic football brand designed by Jon Lansdown - just goes to show money can't buy taste. Castore arent stupid & wouldn't let him loose on the design process.
I get the impression that Hummel had a fair bit of input into the design process to keep it from going too far off track as it had its brand on there, whereas this feels like it could have been created in a bad episode of the apprentice.

Agreed. It looks like what you would expect from a second rate brand like O’Neills. It’s no coincidence that the only other professional football club in England to use them are Wycombe Wanderers.. That says it all to me.
The whole thing looks very non league.

I get being pleased with a point away philosophy especially with our injuries.
But we won’t play any worse teams than Huddersfield tonight and that should be a concern even if we moved the ball well.
We needed to sign a different type of striker to what we have to replace Martin in Jan.
Hoping Cornick will find his feet with us but doesn’t offer a different or more physical threat to the rest of our strike force.

So frustrating to watch, we’re playing well but without any end product.

Kings wasn’t a sitter now was it??
I would say Bell’s was a tap in. Albeit a tricky one but Wells would have slotted it in.

Huddersfield are crap, we should be 2 up already.

Yes it does . It gives us more going forward
Tanner = protection
Sykes = gives us more than Cornick going forward.

Frustrating game with players knackered after Man city but would have started 100% Wells.
Maybe a controversial opinion but I would have been tempted to bring on King to replace injured Williams and leave Scott to play further forward.

Wells for Bell i understood
Taking off tanner & moving Sykes back to get Cornick on didn’t make sense to me.

Knowing City, we’ll make a run but finish 7th.

Not an aspirational Brand by any stretch, but the launch video implies all made in UK. If so the club should be applauded for supporting UK manufacturing.

Can’t understand why we didn’t start the strongest team & rest them 2nd half.
Started well, some decent touches & attempts but way below recent standards, although TBF Wigan dug in & made it difficult.
Bell & Sykes not given enough time to affect the game when coming on.
Hard to say it but didn’t rate Weimann tonight.
Cornick good touches and worked hard in the press but felt erratic in possession.
Frustrating game where we should have done better.

Looking at sitting in the Lansdown next Saturday and saw a couple of seats that have a restricted view warning. Assuming this is because of them being right next to the entrance (W16).
Can anyone vouch how bad the view is? If I just have to poke my head around for a corner, i'm not too bothered, but don't want to be breaking my neck to watch half the game!
Had season tickets in same seats other end of end of the stand.
It’s fine but you need to stand up for some of the corners, we moved as it was a bit annoying but would be fine for the odd match.

I think the scapegoat definition is doing some heavy lifting in this thread.
Most would reasonably expect an experienced Championship forward to be able to come in and adapt quicker than an academy prospect which is why you pay a fee &/or offer bigger wages, especially with a Jan transfer. Otherwise why not give another of the kids 10 games to see what they can give.
Think it’s ok to agree it’s been a disappointing signing so far, but I’m sure to a man we all are rooting for him to find his place in the group and succeed for City.
