  1. They've been lucky sofa. He's made a big contribution in helping them creep up the table.
  2. Smashing goal by Glass. No wonder Plymouth looked shattered.
  3. Maybe Matt posted this tweet after being put on the spot.
  4. Nice to see them sitting so low in the table. Surely this warrants them being renamed "Bristol Low-vers".
  5. Another emabrrassing defeat for the Fewers. They need to chill out and get used to it. As Oliver Hardy said .... "Do you think some Accy Baccy will help them to relax, Stanley ? "
  6. Instead of buying so many players one at a time, it would be more expedient for Forest to buy in bulk or, better still, simply take over a better but cheaper Premiership club, such as Brentford.
  7. The BBC's royal correspondent has gone on record to thank Bristol Rovers' supporters for going above and beyond. Their impressive 90 minutes silence during the game against Lincoln City last Saturday was considered heart-wrenching. He was nonplussed when a colleague explained this was the norm for every game at the Fewmorial.
  8. That Red Button coverage of the game at Norwich was pure comedy gold. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. The talented four year-old that filmed last night's game, fully deserves the Roger Malone & Phil Tottle Betamax Award that he will inevitably win hands down. Thankfully, I am on course to making a full recovery. The doctor assures me that my eyes will eventually uncross themselves and that my exploded brain can easily be put back together with gaffer tape. Can't wait for the next match on the red button.
  9. Well if nothing else, our games this year have certainly been entertaining, for both good and bad reasons. Much more interesting than the no-shots-on-target dross and negative tactics we had to endure in times gone by. Supporting City is definitely not for the faint-hearted or those of a nervous disposition. There's something potentially special about this group of players (and some of those waiting in the wings). Pearson has, without doubt, made a positive difference to the way the team plays and battles and has instilled a sense of belief and higher expectations amongst both players and fans. Fed up that we lost to an undeserving Norwich, and, more so, the silly mistakes that cost us so dearly, but pleased to see that we have a group of players that, on their day, can beat any team in the Championship.
  10. It's not nice to mock the afflicted. But with regards to Messrs Saggydumb and Saggydee we can make an exception.
  11. The Corgis have been succeeded by King Charles, who's incredibly cavalier, and some say has had a bit of a dog's life,
  12. I beleive he is 53,237,693 in the line of succession. So the media will consider that to be a particularly valid interview. Won't be long before they start interviewing the corgis.
  13. Well, the paint I've been watching for the past 8 hours has finally dried. What now? I'll probably stick pins in my eyes. This will provide much-needed, respite from so-called "royal commentators/correspondents/experts", (on what seems like every TV channel, radio station and newspaper), reminiscing, speculating and prattling on, hour after hour, about the most mundane things. People's boredom thresholds aren't as high as they think. If they keep this up, the Establishment and mainstream media will only succeed in alienating millions of (more) people from the Royals.
  14. I may be mistaken but the proclamation "the King/Queen is dead, long live the King/Queen" is partly about accepting, moving on and getting on with everyday life, albeit under a new Monarch. When ordinary citizens (those awful "common people") are bereaved, the world does not stop or change to accommodate their loss of a loved one. Grief is a very personal experience. Each person reacts and copes as best they can, in different ways to the loss of a loved-one. Usually supported and assisted by those closest to them as well as certain bereavement support agencies/charities. There is no right or wrong way. During these times of personal bereavement, the local community, wider society and the world beyond, however, function and continue as normal, oblivious and unaffected by the loss that is so devasting, painful and all-consuming to a particular bereaved person or family. This can be confusing and hurtful to the bereaved person/family, but it can also, often times, be a relief to them as well as being healing and therapeutic. In my opinion, the death of any Royal person, President, Prime Minister, dignitary or celebrity should be no different. Life, work, pleasure and all other everyday activities should continue as normal. Those that wish/need to grieve, pay their respects and contemplate can do so. Those that don't, can just get on with living their lives and do/enjoy whatever they want. Mourning is not mandatory . . . yet. We still, thankfully, have (limited) free will and choice.
  15. MND is horrible. I have lost two friends to this illness. Sad to hear this and very sorry for Marcus and his family.
  16. Hello Vivian. Thank you for introducing yourself. Unfortunately, I'm already taken, but I'm sure there are plenty on here who may be interested. Good luck. Only joshing friend. Vivian aka Vyvyan was a self proclaimed bass t'hard.
  17. The False 9 or False 10 usually don't wear the shirt numbers 9 or 10. So they are, by definition, false 9 or 10s.
  18. Too much information. Any chance of a photo?
  19. He ushered in a sense of togetherness when he arrived and announced to the squad " Euell never walk alone".
  20. There was little doubt he was Ghana get called up.
  21. They couldn't even beat puny Morecombe and earn three points. "What do you think of it so far?" "Rubbish ! " Wise words indeed,
  22. It appears Wael's state-of-the-art tents at the Slumorial Ground are no longer considered good enough by the big names they are allegedly trying to sign. Why not offer them one of the many "highly attractive" caravans they have available at the various Traveller Sites in the area ? And, to sweeten the deal, they should throw in a night of unadulterated passion with grimy Irene. Surely, a package too good to refuse.
