I'm never able to comprehend the mindset that eulogises the likes of Gold and Katy, when there exists such a blessing as Henry Weston's Vintage

I went on their web site looking for an announcement on world events and just found this instead:-
Club Re-Brand Consultation
7282 views
As Bristol Rovers approaches its 140th anniversary, it provides the perfect opportunity for a period of reflection as we celebrate our history but also look to the future.
Over the past few years, we have attempted to make improvements across all areas of the club to modernise, professionalise and, ultimately, drive the club forward.
The current crest is also celebrating its own milestone, as it has been in use for 25 years.
Lots has changed over that 25-year period, not only for the club, but also in wider society and now feels like the right time to work with you - the supporters - to review this and see if we can make any improvements or changes to better represent the club.
We would, therefore, like to start a consultation process to gain some initial feedback on the current badge and gather possible new ideas as to how we represent ourselves as a club moving forward.
As part of this process, we are very shortly going to be getting in touch with fans to invite you to take part in a survey and share your views. Once we have collated initial opinions, we may then create a small focus group to discuss ideas and concepts further.
Working together, we can redefine what the future of our club looks like.
This is brilliant work. Congratulations. I am now the crazy English man sitting on his own in a cafe drinking beer and laughing hysterically to himself. So thanks for that.

Last time out against Luton!

Glad to see him play well but I wish the media team and fans would stop referring to him as TC makes me cringe, Conway is sufficient his a player not your mate
His close friends get to call him TC

Sykes was indeed excellent. But for me if I had to pick one - and I don't but I'm going to pretend I'm forced to - Atkinson. Delightful in every third of the pitch. Naismith, Vyner, Dasilva, Scott, Massengo, Wells, Weimann, Conway, I could just name the entire squad and there'd be takers for each and every one tonight.

Get in.
So many to mention but I’m gonna single out Rob Atkinson, the lad was a beast tonight!
Love him.
Agreed

Every single player in a red (or purple) shirt, starters and subs. Plus the management and coaching staff. Most enjoyable 90 minutes of football I've seen in I don't know how long.

I used to rarely make puns, but they've groan on me...
I once submitted 10 jokes to a joke competition, hoping that one of them would win.
But no pun intended

People who pounce on a minor grammatical or spelling error, in a post which otherwise contains a decent point about football.
It seems that some of these people are obviously waiting for such an opportunity, and have no intention of engaging in a football discussion.
Weird behaviour
Missing the full stop after "behaviour" there fella.

Risible modern attempts at making new swearwords, such as "cockwomble" and "wankpuffin". These make me want to punch the user really hard in the face, for some reason.
Other than that, nothing really bothers me. I'm a Zen #&£@#&£@#&#. So much so that I think my nearest and dearest wish I gave more of a shit about them, or me, or anything really

Agreed. As mentioned above, when someone says "for f*cks hake" on the match day thread, it's just the worst.

Bit draconian but I’m all for firing squads in situation like this
Who was it on here a short while ago who was very amusing for making comments that invariably started with "I don't want to overreact, but" and then going on to have a full on ironic meltdown

Kevin Betsy - remember him?
One of my unforgettable City memories, actually. When we signed Kevin Betsy and Phil Jevons, I immediately thought of "Jevons to Betsy" and proceeded to exclaim this loudly in every pub on North Street, finding myself to be the greatest wit since I don't know Oscar Wilde. You can imagine, then, my excitement upon tuning in to Radio Bristol one fine day to listen to the City commentary, and hearing the immortal phrase uttered, as Phil passed the ball to Kevin, "Jevons, to Betsy, ...". Well, dear reader, I basically peaked right there

Oh I see, first match of the season you said, my reading skills somewhat lacking

I can't see us having all 4 of Wison, Tanner, Dasilva and Pring in an 18 man squad.
3 of them for sure.
Balance on the bench is likely to be
Keeper, CB, WB, CM, 10/ACM, CF, CF.
First game that looks like being
O'Leary, Vyner, Wilson / Tanner, Massengo, Scott, Wells, Conway
Vyner seems an odd choice there. Do you see all of Kalas, Klose, Atkinson and Naismith starting? I don't think he gets in the squad most of the time.

Working on my Kindle now so I'm happy PS cooler in The Algarve than Bristol.
Don't get used to it mate, back to scorchio tomorrow! Funnily enough my ex who is Portuguese is in Bristol this week with our daughter who was born there. I've had a couple of relief days at a mere 26° whilst they've been roasting in 37°

Can I just add that with each potentially decent-looking signing we make in which the CEO is not weirdly and repulsively front of stage, the more I f*cking love Richard Gould?

I actually prefer Katy to Thatcher's Vintage, but for me HW Vintage is miles ahead of either. Happy to agree to disagree over a pint of each! Cheers
