Flying back home to where? As far as I am aware he still lives locally, even though he may as well just reside in Bermuda permanently.

Well he was dining in Cor on North St on Thursday night! So he must still have a gaff close by. (I was also dining there, highly recommended by the way!)

did you get one each for the family, Mr C?

Blimey Max I’m not made of money! Tbh Harry paid for it himself and I had 2 x £5 vouchers from the end of season rewards débacle so it only cost him 30 notes out of his pocket money he’s been saving.

It is nice though and bearing in mind he lives in football tops they’re good value I guess.

Check in store if you can, as the online stock is not currently aligned with store stock.

There were loads of stock of the away kit still to be unpacked in the store today.

Yup. Went in there earlier and they had loads available. Wether that remains the case after opening tmrw though, who knows!

It’s easily the best of the 3 kits and whilst not as good as the grey Hummel one I can see this being a big seller.

Or whichever club he thinks we should emulate this week.

Picture in my head now of Steve Lansdown doing a "Jessie's Diets" type Fast Show Sketch - "This week I 'ave been mostly emulating Luton Town"

Nothing whatsoever to do with the kit but left home in Windmill Hill yesterday afternoon to go for a walk about 5pm & there was a kiddie aged about 8 on his own kicking a ball against the wall in the bit of green next to the Rising Sun pub in full City kit, this season’s shirt, shorts & socks.

I just thought it was bloody fantastic to see, fair ******* play. BS3 kiddie supporting his local club, just like it should be.

One of the few things the club has got absolutely spot-on is the free top with an U12 Season Ticket. Great to see so many kids wearing their tops in and around BS3 and beyond.

    Least surprising part of this?

“The Mayor’s Office is trying to keep the deal alive”.

Anyone still believe that this would be the case if it was us?
    Absolutely clueless if you do.

I'm sure it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with a certain deputy mayor . . .

Went to the trusty steed Souk Kitchen last night. Bit surprised to find it only half full on arrival given it was a beautiful warm evening.

Then viewed the menu which offered a possible explanation - they've certainly jacked the prices up. We used to always start with the flatbread and dips which I reckon was about £6. Now the bread alone is £4.60 and the dips are about £5 EACH! A pretty basic tomato salad £9.50, a courgette dish £8... a sign of the times I guess, they're certainly not the only ones that have increased prices.

That said, still thoroughly enjoyed all of the food which was up to the usual high standard. And actually the bill at the end wasn't too bad!

A staple favourite of ours', never lets you down. Trying Cor on North St on Thursday. Expecting good things.

I'd imagine closer to 30..  but also was there a store opposite st catherines place?  Confused by this flickr shot:

Must've been another store - looks like it says Tesco Carpets? But yes, opposite St. Katherine's Precinct

So this is a random one but was chatting about it on Skyscrapper -  Can anyone remember the Tesco on East Street - with the Car Park that still exists on corner of Dean Street?   I remember it became 'In Shops' before coming Wilkos.   Am guessing the building will be empty again soon.  I remember my mum always driving into the car park to go shopping around there and I think ? I recall you could still see the old shadow of the Tesco sign and what was originally the lifts down to the store from the car park?

Can't find any pics.. but anyone remember when it closed?  Guessing possibly around time of the demise of WO Wills factories ?

Remember it well! Must've closed a good 20 plus years ago I'd imagine.

Crikey that’s been going for a long time now.

I used to go there quite often when I lived in Bristol some 20 years ago. It was about the only thing around there at the time, now there’s all sorts around.

Always enjoyed it on a summers evening, especially 2003 which was a boiling hot summer in Bristol. Good to see it’s still going strong.

Yeah I have been there once - again though - a long time ago. Top quality & always gets good reviews. Great location too.

And now the M32 bridge over Eastville is crumbling too. Spalled concrete has exposed steel reinforcements and they are rotting merrily. Reports are that £40 million will be needed to repair it. I ask you, where is the council going to find £125million from? The place is falling apart around us.

Well Birmingham Council is Bankrupt - Bristol next?

I don't really like how it is called the sporting quarter when it's use for sport is limited.

I don't really think it's a misnomer if you consider it will host home games for Bristol City Men, Bristol City Women*, Bristol Bears Men and Bristol Flyers. Plus the Women's Rugby World Cup in 2025.

Obviously there are other things going on but the Sporting Quarter sounds about right if you ask me.

*for as long as they stay in the WSL.
