For some reason, replays seem to be nowhere near as widely televised as the original ties which are pretty much all available somewhere.
From memory, last year's replay at Swansea wasn't shown at all, anywhere, and we had to rely purely on radio coverage.
Radio Bristol and TALKSPORT2 for those not in the RB area

If not in the RB area you can listen to it on TALKSPORT2

Sold out game
Loads of empty seats in the south stand yet again
Sooooo selfish people
Perhaps the portway being closed and the ensuing traffic issues put a few off, particularly as it is also on TV

I agree. This needs to happen. Conway on his own doesn't seem to be the best option
I still don't understand why Manning doesn't play Nahki with Tommy. I know it's not necessarily the way he wants the team to play but it's obvious Tommy is missing his partner.

Pring and Mehmeti made another World cup winner look ordinary. SPH will certainly gain from the experience. Gets about a bit but probably given licence to roam today. Lots of chasing to do.
Interesting after the game TALKSPORT specifically mentioned SPH and how much the Newport fans love him Also asked Stuart Pearce what he thought and said he had some nice control.

I like it now and again but I don’t want to go too long without a traditional Saturday 3pm kick off.
Think if it was too regular on a Friday night the atmosphere would dip and there would be those who couldn't make a Friday night as easy as on a Saturday.

Well he still seems very enthusiastic, some might say sycophantic, about the club which you would imagine wouldn't be the case if he had fallen out with them.
Not sure that is true. I'm sure that many City fans will say that passion for the club overrides everything. Managers,Owners, Players, may come and go and we may fall out of love with them, but passion for the club should be there through thick & thin. That's the life or burden of being a football fan.

He was very good tonight but i tend to agree with you, a bit of work on his final ball will make him a PL player. He also should have scored tonight
From his interview on RB tonight it would appear that some in the team thought he should have passed the ball to Nahki

They will have players back for the replay and there definitely better at home so it will be a different game.
And alongside Sykes we wont have Pring or TGH

Agree. It was too predictable, no league points at stake so why not try it? Last season Wells and Conway were superb together. Neither are a lone striker, this needs sorting.
Yes I don't know why but somehow Manning doesn't see it the way we fans do with regard to Wells & Conway playing together.

Thought he was very articulate wants to be with us, didn't get fazed by talk of playing at a higher level . Ironic the Interview was interrupted by goals scored by Lloyd Kelly & Alex Scott

Interrupted TGH's interview

On now after the ads

TGH on Talksport tonight Not sure of the exact time but just announced by presenter Hugh Woozencroft as being within the hour.
NB Dean Holden will also be on at some point

Throw ins aren’t simple with the opposition denying options which is why we often see the taker getting the ball straight back after finding a teammate who’s found a limited space.
Thats why having a player who can actually throw it further is a helpful asset - it gives the team better options.
That's why I would have bought Harry Cornick on

Putting money on Williams to ko Toffolo in the 4th round.
You'll be wasting your money then as he is suspended for the game for picking up 2 yellow cards in the competition

Wonder who will take over as captain? I would assume James but then guess you can't rule out Zak or Knighty
I expect it to be Jason Knight as he has already been Captain in recent games and has previous experience of The Captains role

Wouldn’t blame him at all for their goal
I'd argue it was not Max but a Defensive error 'Ball watching' at fault for the goal

I don't know why Manning persists with playing him up top by himself. Its so frustrating for everyone, including Tommy
If you are going to play a lone striker then Cornick is better suited to that role imo
I'm always disappointed that when he puts Nahki on, Liam takes Tommy off.

Never heard of that before, though with the number of officials available it does seem odd
It does seem odd but there appears to be a number of EFL teams that have had the same ref for a game within a month of a previous match.

Quite the rise as he has barely refereed a Champ game
He refereed us against Norwich, what more experience do you need? Seriously I wish him the best of luck today and hope he gives confidence to other aspiring referees

Yes they can use VAR in a replay even though it wasn't used/ available in the original match, but you can't select players for the replay that wern't available for the first game. Where the logic in that?
