Was he particularly noticeable at Palace? Some CEO'S like to keep a low profile. How many CEOs at either Premier League or Championship can easily be named? Most aren't like Mark Ashton.

The most pleasing aspect was we had 19 shots on target. What a difference from the Birmingham game

We lack any threat and ability to pass the ball to our own players, something thats needed to win games really; as prev poster said we could do worse than get Moore in from Bournemouth for the season
Listening to the commentary on TALKSPORT2 that does not appear to be the case. We are doing well particularly down the right and Sykes. It's our final ball letting us down

The same Villa that got destroyed at Newcastle. Not knocking them but we looked decent when we were smashing League 1 and 2 sides a few weeks ago.
No the same Villa that put 4 past England's No1 goalkeeper. Villa are a good team under Unai Emery and I expect them to finish Top 6

Exactly. Speeds the deal through, West Brom get £700k right now so they are happy, we get a player for £2m just spread over a couple of years.
and surely helps their FFP

We are so good in this country at bigging up the opposition. Spain passed the ball better and that's about it in terms of difference.
Well done England, a deserved final, it took a really good goal to beat you.
And we were magnanimous in defeat. No blaming of the officials, decisions going against them. Just accepting that today Spain were the better team

England did not even deserve to be in the final let alone win it. Lucky against Nigeria, a scrappy win vs Colombia and a smash and grab vs Australia.
They were not good enough.
Well done the Spanish.
England deserved to be in the final because they won their games. Before the world cup started England were not expected to do well due to the number of injuries . So well done for getting as far as they did.

Because they are the away team and it served them well against Australia.

What a keeper, wish we could have him in between the sticks, 1000% better than what we currently have.
Well we did once.

Would you care to elaborate please?
Probably his reaction when they scored. His celebration was completely OTT.

Why?
Because its a once in a 57 year opportunity. Im sure if it was The Mens World cup either the President of the FA and or the PM would attend. NB The Spanish royal family are attending and it would be nice if we could have a similar presence

It would be nice if William and/or Kate could be there at the final.

Neymar now the latest to join. Don't think his histrionics will be missed in Europe. For me one of the most overrated footballers of the modern era.
So his anticipated move to LA Galaxy . has not transpired and Billy Sharp moves there instead. No more Billy Sharp terrorising Ashton Gate

I must admit that I haven't been in a very very long time, back to the days of GWR having a radio one roadshow kind of event
I must admit that I am really put off by the uncertainty about flying (I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for all the pilots and their flight crew) is there much else on site that is an attraction anymore?
Think having a BBC Sounds 'introducing' as they do at The Hundred would be good to showcase some local talent. Doesn't have to take up any more space than the old GWR set. It would also encourage more people to visit as at the moment if the balloons can't fly, people tend to stay away as there is no alternative entertainment.

As per title.Put Man City ahead inside 4 minutes.Could be a long night for Burnley.
On the contrary it seems to have rejuvenated Burnley

Lying is a very harsh and emotive word. He could still have had a slight knock that we wouldn't have risked him last night in a cup match against lower league opposition regardless of if he had been undertaking a medical at Bournemouth

Decent draw that.
This forum seems even more strange then ever at the moment! Its not a dull draw at all.
Seems we would only be happy with Man U, or Man C, or Liverpool or Arsenal, get beat, but have a great night that we talk about as a high for years on end, wrap it in meaningless hype, and lose the four surrounding league games.
Deja vu!
Rather we meet one of the big teams later on . Tottenham away would be nice
