Ask most fans to draw up a “strongest” or “rightful” Premier League, and I don’t think you will get too many saying Fulham.

I guess it depends on the age group.

I grew up with Fulham being a regular player in the Premier League, including the European run in 2010, whereas the likes of Wednesday, Leeds or Forest were more of a feature in league one than the top flight.

Over the Premier League era I'd say Fulham probably edge in as a 'rightful' Premier League club (whatever that means!)

What about Goalkeeper back ups we've had?
Chris Weale, Mike Stowell, Stuart Naylor, Ronnie Sinclair, Luke Steele, Dean Gerken how would they rank as back ups? At least 2 or 3 of them had memorable moments in a City shirt

None of them come close to Dave Richards.

Never conceded a goal for us, and won the title playing a key role. City legend in my eyes

If we stick with him then we are relegation certainties next season, he could barely be any worse, we can’t afford NOT to sack him

    I’m not sure.

Admittedly I’ve not been able to watch much of us this season, but I do get the feeling that we certainly wouldn’t be better off with another manager right now, especially when we consider the history the lansdowns have at appointing managers.

I think giving him the summer and then until at least November, is the right thing to do. He’s been poor thus far, but he has enough contacts in the game and enough pedigree, to strengthen us for next year imo

LJ wins this hands down . Left the club with 38m debts and a squad that no one wants . Pearson is one of the best we have ever had . Created 40/50 m talent from the academy in 12 months . Extraordinary performance when dealing with the squad inherited .

Says a lot about our club really that a fan can claim that a manager with a 25% win ratio is ‘one of the best we’ve ever had’.

I think we should stick with Pearson (as realistically we can’t afford to sack him and replace him with someone better) but what’s he done thus far to be one of the best managers we’ve had in the last 20 years?

I think he was referring to the Tammy season where we survived the game before last day of the season.

I think a lot have forgotten just a how dire LJ’s first full season was

I’m aware what season he was referring to. I still think it’s very selective from the poster though, totally ignoring where we were at when LJ took over and even where we ended up at the end of that season.

There was clear improvements on the pitch (aided by the financial support no doubt), even when comparing the 16/17 season to the 15/16, under Cotts, where we were looking incredibly likely to go down

Wonder Coach inherited Cotts Promotion side , plus Kodja (And had us in a real relegation scrap 18 months into his ‘reign’, despite signings and Abraham’s goals)

Pearson inherited a demotivated , shambolic squad , lacking leaders or cohesion ....... the squad left behind by ...........Johnson & Holden

To be fair that’s incredibly selective.

He inherited a side who were already in a relegation scrap and left them in mid table, with some highs and lows along the way. Yes financially him (but mainly Ashton) screwed us over, but positionally we haven’t seen anything better than under LJ as a club since his dad, 13 years ago

Would City have any interest in developing Ashton Gate to become a stadium contender for 2028?

    Doubt it.

With our average attendances this season I'd be very surprised if the club felt they could afford to expand the stadium any further, especially with our financial position. I can't see a couple of 2nd rate group games in the euros making much of a difference

In the interview above he said he couldn't disagree with them! I assume it was about the game rather than him in that case..!

Mainly about the game with some frustration aimed at him from what I could hear. No surprise he couldn't disagree, we weren't very good tonight and anyone travelling all the way up to Barnsley deserved better!

    Go on......

    Was stood next to them.

Nothing too 'dramatic' but just people voicing their frustrations. Pearson stood and listened before heading off down the tunnel.

After tonight I think it's perfectly reasonable for people to complain, especially after making that journey. Pearson didn't look massively impressed but obviously understood why there was such frustration from the support

Why's the game being played at the Spurs ground?

It’s Sarries Big game called ‘the Showdown’ that’s basically an opportunity for them to play in a bigger stadium once a year. Bath and Quins do similar and Newcastle have done it in the past as well iirc

There are so many things that we as human beings should  be against in life.

killings, rape, stabbings, child abuse, the abuse of women, modern day slavery, killings and torture of religious folk etc etc etc.

For two years now footballers have took the knee for one single thing…. Racism ….

Has their message converted one single racist to a non racist???

Is that the point of it though?

Isnt this more a stand of solidarity against racism, saying that the vast majority of us find it unacceptable and we’re going to take a united stand to highlight that.

That may not lead to anybody who is racist turning away from that, but it shows that the vast majority of us are united against it, which is surely an important message to send out in a time where so many are divided against eachother?
