  1. One late night won’t hurt her will it? Remember my old PE teacher telling us we had to watch the England highlights on Midweek Sports Special and tell our parents he said it was ok. Can’t believe we had to wait for highlights and the game wasn’t live!
  2. Plus all the commercial / sponsorship stuff too, e,g. Sleeve sponsor, advertising, hospitality, etc.
  3. I wonder how many with kids might upgrade their kids tickets to adults for this game. I think that’s why some are happy to pay the £50 (or whatever for a kids ST), knowing that they have an upgradable seat when required?
  4. I guess it’s supply and demand. Will Bears sell out? (caveat: I’ve been looking at the FA Cup rules and there is nothing in the pricing that precludes charging different prices. Some clubs include cup matches in their season ticket prices and there is a section on splitting gate receipts where that happens…but nothing to stop City charging a lower rate)
  5. Your reward is a guaranteed ticket in your seat (or you can choose another if you like). How about £5 off but you join the free-for-all and it’s just one big general sale? I know I’m being arsey (not to you), but just imagine the second scenario I laid out. Will be standard included as normal.
  6. Lewis O’Brien (Forest - loan) and Ethan Brierly ( Rochdale perm). They’ve committed to continuing with the purchase of Brierly as they know how much Rochdale will be banking on the money. if you head over to the transfer forum, you’ll see Greg Broughton’s interview. Very informative.
  7. When he earns our first penalty: It had to be you It had to be you I stumbled around, and I finally found The referee who Could make it be true A pen that he blew And even be glad to be the lad - scoring for you
  8. I think most clubs would try to insert them in the transfer deal of a player on the up. But not necessarily in the players contract…most player contracts won’t have a release fee clause, let alone a multi-faceted set of clauses.
  9. Yep, imagine release clause was more than just “if a club offers a fee”, but included add-ons too. Very sensible, and should be the sort of thing more widely used to get players to sign new deals to give north club and player a bit of both-ways loyalty. To add… …I get the impression with Brownhill it was purely a “release” fee, hence why we wanted to do a deal early so that we could get some add ons too.
  10. I think at Leicester he was so “in-tune” with Walsh and Mackenzie (and they with him) he didn’t need to be so involved.
  11. Was wondering whether you’d post anything!!! I looked back, and it’s a year since your last post.
  12. My thoughts are that we have a structure that means the CEO doesn’t need to be that vocal re the football side of things. Ashton made it all about him. Gould changed that, and then with appointment of Tinnion, needs to be less “out there”. The three of them at the Fans Forum was just before Tins promotion, and sewed the seeds of Nige / Tins being the football face. As @ExiledAjaxsays PA will communicate when it’s appropriate.
  13. Darn you @cidered abroad. You young’uns!! ?
  14. One bit from Nige’s interviews yesterday (can’t remember which one) was where he said that once City had gained agreement from Wycombe to speak to Anis, Nige went and met him that afternoon. This seems to be a bit of a divergence from what he’s previously said, where he’s kinda said he’s not very involved. Maybe this is the evolvement of recruitment over his time, RG’s time and now with Tinnion? Maybe “they” feel the manager should take a bit more of an active responsibility / accountability for the players brought in. I wonder what would happen if Nige met him and didn’t like his character, got the wrong vibe, etc. It also seems very apparent that City will do things properly, not play out the chase via agents / media…although they can’t control that. We saw that with Semenyo, with the differing Burnley and Bournemouth approaches. It’s possible that happened with Currie too.
  15. That’s a very weird take on Gary Johnson. And inaccurate too. (if I’ve been whooshed, hey-ho)
  16. David McGoldrick (Derby): 8 goals in 1159 mins. Had a good career.
  17. Ta, I didn’t read it like that. So, the bad eggs are on 10-2 on their own, and the good eggs plus the youth / developers come in at 3? Yes?
  18. for example: The longer the line the better they are! Red line is average for the division / position. He is one of the highest dribblers in the division, and gets the most touches in the box. His dribble success rate is just above average. As for these, blobs rather than lines: closer they are to the top right corner the better. Red lines are average again. Anis scores 0.34 goals per 90 mins. According to his xG he gets 0.26 xG per 90…so he scores more than he should from his chances, and that is a lot for a wide forward / attacking midfielder. each blob is a player.
  19. That was how I read it too. That sounds bonkers. @Port Said Red are you saying it’s the other way around?
  20. Gravy, Bristo and Bellingham in one thread! Ahhhhhhhhh
  21. Nah! ? 1-0 up, Bennett kicks our player. ???
