  1. Yep, a bit flat, a bit slow, but away from home, 0-0 at h-t, is solid....and gives scope to go on and win it second half. Just need to speed the passing up. Were careless opening 15-20, but settled into our patterns after that. Just not clicking quite in the final third. Patience still required.
  2. both teams with good benches. Don't know anything about Mbengue and Loum, but always liked Meite and Joao. As for Meite, has often had to come off injured in games v City.
  3. I’ve uninstalled On phone reinstalled and it’s working. Will do same on iPad. Ta all
  4. Getting this. And then it just spins
  5. Anyone struggling to connect to Frankfurt (and others) on Windscribe? Just goes round and round!
  6. I guess for a lot of sides like us, where there is little between us and our opponents, going ahead probably results in us thinking “don’t throw away an important advantage”. A team like Man City would be “let’s make it 2”. not sure how well this reads, but I track how many minutes we are winning, drawing and losing each game. You can sort of see how important it is for us to lead in a game. We’ve not reversed going behind this season. Only Blackpool have we gone and got a point having been behind, although we did go from behind into the lead. But that is the exception. (green leading, grey drawing, red losing)
  7. If we get 2-0 up and sit in a deep block, I’d take it. But generally I’d like to see us control more of a 90 mins.
  8. Langford, too. John Busby today, he doesn’t stand out for me in my “shit ref league” so he must be okay, at least.
  9. I am planning to do a big “stats” update during the World Cup. From the “eyes” point of view I think he’s done alright / okay / decent / average (not bang average which most people seem to use as meaning anything but average). He’s a 6/10 overall, but I thought he was good at Hull and at West Brom. In his fledgling days with us he’s been steady. Had he executed the final ball better he’d be getting better comments from me. He’s been a bit susceptible to balls in behind him too - part the system, part his positioning. But if he strings performances together like West Brom he is rapidly gonna go up in fans view. Let’s not forget he’s stepping up a league and playing a pretty new position.
  10. On Tuesday, they made zero passes to each other. You are talking about Sykes and Atkinson, or have I just done a big whoosh? ?
  11. are you of a similar age to him…did you then go on to Hanham?
  12. We are up against the rail if we don’t give him an extension!
  13. Tuesday was his best game since Hull on opening day. Like our other WB, needs to vastly improve his final ball. Overall, I think he’s done ok, but shame Wilson hasn’t had chances as he started pre-season looking good. His sub appearances have been mixed, but sounds like he has had a gradually worsening injury that needed the op he’s just had.

  15. It’s a cool list, that means you’re not cool!!! Same here btw.
  16. Yes, he’s odd. Bents calls him one of his weirdo mates or freaks, I think.
  17. Yes, Nige said today he likes him and will use him when he wants / needs to…and Han has said he will make sure he is ready should that happen. That’s fine in my book from both sides.
  18. Yes, it is fair enough. Nige will see need to see whether the likes of Kadji can be part of the proper first team group or whether he needs to replace, e.g. next summer. I’ve speculated this since the weekend when he was left out of the 18. I also think it might be the case with Bentley. Unusual for Nige to drop a player after one bad game, but I might be wide of the mark, but I reckon he’s giving Max the chance to stake his claim. That’s dual-purpose 1) is he good enough to replace Bents should he leave and 2) does he deserve to have his option exercised.
  19. Following today’s press conference:
