  1. Brings a new meaning to Vedi Napoli e poi muori (see Naples and die).
  2. Why do we give a damn? I doubt that NP or anyone else at City has lost any sleep. Only on OTIB does anyone care about what the Luton chairman thinks.
  3. Prices are good and I have no problem with using digital, provided it works. What happens when the system goes down. With a physical card I can show that to a steward as proof of being a ST holder.
  4. City have a regular and loyal away following but as an indicator of support as a whole its not a strong statistic. There are just too many variables that affect the outcome. Distance to travel, time of fixture, is it on TV, cost of ticket, parking and travel, are the trains running, are motorways open or closed (especially for the return journey), weather conditions etc.
  5. The flying Robin image, or whatever it is officially called, has been in use for a while in t-shirt sales in the club shop and on the kits sported by the coaching staff. Such a kit was visibly worn by Curtis Fleming at the weekend. As for the quality of the kits I will hold judgement until I've seen and handled them up close.
  6. Not that I want to lose either game but I'd take that. I've seen us win at Swansea but not at Luton.. Kenilworth Road is the only ground left in the current Championship I've never seen City win at.
  7. Mac Boyd and Joe Porton both played for Melksham Town in their 4-0 away win at Cinderford. The Non League Paper report said that Porton was outstanding and named him their Star Man of the match. Judging by tweets from the Cinderford twitter account Mac Boyd also had an excellent game making a number of outstanding saves. Another good week for 19 year olds.
  8. I hope they provide an encore on Wednesday.
  9. 417 wasn't it or 470. Tannoy was not great.
  10. Back to winning ways with two good goals and MoM performancevgrom Alex Scott. Not much else to say other than Blackpool were bloody awful.
  11. I suppose it has to be suitcases as FIFA has commandeered the FAs stock of brown envelopes.
  12. Not so much brave as an inevitability that we'll be heading again to Yorkshire to maintain the balance if the Blades are promoted and the Terriers relegated.
  13. Knight is an excellent player and would be an great replacement if Scott were to depart. I don't see Derby getting promoted. I expect the top 2 to remain the same to the end of the season and the in form Barnsley to win the play offs.
  14. If Scott departs this summer, which with a contract to 2025 is not inevitable (despite what some on here think) , the fee will certainly be North of £20M and be a permanent transfer with no hope of a loan back. Even if the purchasing club considered a loan it would be to a club in a European top flight league where he could improve his skill set not a return to the championship. Of the current Premier league suitors (so we're told) Wolves will almost certainly have room in their midfield but would have to get over their reluctance to considerably up their offer. It would need a real hard sell for Scott to depart for Molyneux and I don't see it. Newcastle have the money but departures will need to be forthcoming for him to play regularly in the midfield. Could be an exciting addition though to feed the mercurial Saint Maxima. Not convinced he'd sign for a club that far north. Brighton would probably have to lose MacAllister or Caicedo or both for Scott to end up at the Amex. I think he'd be a good fit and would suit their style but will they pay the money? I'm not sure. Of others he'd get game time at Crystal Palace who like to buy and play youngsters from the Championship but will they pay the asking price this time around. West Ham have been mentioned but will the Irons be in the Premier League next season. He apparently supports Spurs but Conte doesn't play youngsters and he's not a player to sit permanently sit on a bench so it's, a non-starter for me. More left field he has said he wouldn't rule out playing abroad so how about Borussia Dortmund. Its fast becoming a wonderful place for young English talent fast tracking to the national team.
  15. Trouble is it's the wrong type of snow!
  16. Let's hope he doesn't get it. I want to see us win at Luton.
  17. Isn't Bajic supposed to be his competition? If that doesn't work out perhaps we'll sign Halkin on a more permanent basis.
  18. The good thing about rounders and netball is that they're not baseball and basketball, two of the most overhyped boring sports in the world.
  19. He wanted to see a proper game in a proper competitive league not go to a one sided Premier League game in Liverpool
  20. Both Mac Boyd and Joe Porton played for Melksham in their 3-1 win at Paulton today. Porton was making his debut and had a really good game according to the Melksham manager in his after match interview. He was athletic, combatative and made good decisions.
  21. Pearson's after match comments were spot on. We enjoyed 61% possession but didn't hurt Cardiff enough as we didn't move the ball quick enough and we allowed ourselves to be outmuscled. Losing Williams was a massive blow as he looked our best player until forced off. Alex should of buried the first half header or we certainly should of forced in the rebound. However we conceded far too many free kicks disrupting our rhythm while giving them encouragement. The goals were disappointing as we missed a clearing header on the back post for the first and Max should have done better with the shot from Philogrene (probably the best player in the game) for their second. Losing Kalas was an even bigger blow than Williams and I was relieved in the end to escape with only a 2-0 defeat. Selection should be interesting for Huddersfield.
  22. I hate defending the Post but I'm with And Its Smith on this, it is news if you haven't heard the interview. I don't know what the listening figures for Twentypence are, or for Radio Bristol, but there are many City supporters who can't pick up the station and therefore couldn't have heard the interview even if they'd wanted to.
  23. It was a clear foul but I blame the lino rather than the ref. Mariner was 25 yards away looking from an angle whereas the lino was little more than 10 yards away looking straight at the players. Another reason why they should be referred to as linos and not assistant referees. Running the line is all they're (un)fit for.
  24. Christ! I'm not sure if the lino on the Lansdown Stand last night knew what offside was.
  25. According to the commentary Grimsby created FA cup history tonight by becoming the first team to beat 5 teams from a higher level during their run. A tremendous effort by any standards.
