  1. City always play worse when the team is full of overage players. King is playing at 5
  2. I note that young keeper Mac Boyd has gone out on loan again to Melksham Town.
  3. I used to travel on CATS a lot before friends decided to drive, often saving a hour to and from on a journey up north. Mostly travelling on coach 2, I never minded travelling on coaches 1 or 3 and the travel itself was mostly fine (aside from once crossing the Trent 3 times before getting to Meadow Lane). It was the motorway service stops that became annoying, both in terms of time spent and where. Clear examples were stopping at Newbury for a match in London, stopping at Keele for a game at Crewe just another half hour away and leaving Ashton Gate at 1230 for a 1745 kick off at Layer Road, Colchester which resulted in stopping at South Mimms for nearly 2 hours
  4. Very sad news. A wonderful player and a really nice well spoken man. Condolences to all family and friends. Rest in Peace Gianluca.
  5. A new concept I think but it's enjoyable. As they're kids there's an honesty about them you don't always get from the 'grown-ups' and much less inane irrelevant prattle.
  6. But still a more skilful player than Djiekanowski, a player so often looked at through rose tinted spectacles by City fans who in reality had many more average games than great ones.
  7. Incredibly sad news that the GOAT has died. Not just a phenomenal footballer but a great man who was a credit to the sport, his nation and indeed life itself. Heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family and friends. I expect there may be a day of mourning in Brazil and maybe a national holiday such was the esteem for the man.
  8. Sad news. Condolences and prayers to family and friends.
  9. I'd go further, let's go back to referee and linesman being allowed to do their jobs without outside interference.
  10. I don't know who applied for the Charlton job and what process they went through but I can imagine him saying all the right things and that he wouldn't have been the most expensive option.
  11. Often more so if you read them. Back to the OP is it like QI? Do we get a Nobody Knows bonus.
  12. I understand what you say about Semenyo but I remain to be convinced he will ever become a, prolific goalscorer, as his lack of ball control and more importantly his lack of composure say to me he'll never reach those heights. He is a power forward who relies on the strength of his shot rather than any guile to beat the keeper, and snatches at too many opportunities to see a regular return of 20 goals per season.
  13. We had golden goal in the JPT at Boston (in the southern section!) when Danny Coles scored the winner.
  14. Can't do they. Could go on too long and mess with the TV schedules having to move the likes of Eastenders, Corrie or Strictly.
  15. The better keeper wins it for Argentina. Messi has now won everything that counts in football (except the Championship ofcourse).
  16. France had been terrible, then Otamendi doesn't clear the ball into row Z gets his legs in a tangle and it's a penalty. France score and suddenly they have energy and its all change. Having equalised France must be favourites now, although the Argues have plenty of subs they could use.
  17. France can have no complaints... They haven't turned up. Penalty may be soft but we would have been screaming for it at the Gate, and been annoyed if our player didn't go down. The second goal was superb. For me a team goal beats an individual goal every time.
  18. Kanes wasn't a penalty because it was outside the penalty area. On the line be bu***red it was half a yard outside.
  19. So Varane was confined to barracks with Honey and Ginger. I wonder what his wife Camille had to say about that.
  20. I'm not convinced we'll get any hard bids but it's time to move him on. I don't know whether he's believed all the hype that surrounded him or not but his performances have lacked composure and been far short of the standards required. I'd be bringing Sam Bell on. He may not have the power of Semenyo but he's as quick and looks much more a natural goalscorer.
  21. I understand where you're coming from and it's a decent reflection on our current state. Today we contrived to lose to a side that created SFA.. Its not as if we didn't have opportunities. We were unlucky with the move that ended with hitting the inside of the post but all other efforts were weak. How did Semenyo miss the free header from 6 yards in the second half. I think we'll stay up but it is liky to be touch and go.
  22. Stay strong. We're all with you. You can beat this. In my prayers for you and your family.
