  1. The question was asked what will come first, a penalty for City or a decent cup draw. I believe it will be a decent cup draw in 2024.
  2. Not so much Canada perhaps but the USA has huge resources to call upon, including the large number of players they could bring through the collegiate system.
  3. At the end of the day if we have a desire to sell, or he has a desire to leave, his worth is what someone is willing to pay, no more or no less. As his destination is most likely to be a low, or at best middling Premier club they're not interested in buying potential but need someone who can slot straight into the 1st team to help them stay in the division.
  4. Apparently has over 50 caps for the England beach football team where he played all around the world including Tahiti. From the beaches of Tahiti to Rodney Parade, Newport.
  5. Most have more than one. Their official name and the ones given to them by opposing supporters up and down the land.
  6. I certainly hope that a solution can be found with a new distributor as I like Hummel, a company that works with a team to produce unique kits and not just trade blank template with a sponsor and badge stuck on like Adidas.
  7. We're holding out for the Sultan of Brunei. Nigel's contract will be replaced by a payment each year of his weight in gold.
  8. Like you Tone I'd love to see Samoa win, but I don't see Australia making the mistakes England made and I expect them to win by a clear 10 points. Whatever the outcome though Samoa have done their nation proud.
  9. England Wheelchair Rugby League World Champions! 28-24 over France but what a bruising game. Great entertainment that even had a pantomime villain in the French touch judge who was doing his pieces on the sideline following a decision by the ref that went against his nation. Fantastic stuff!!
  10. Anyone who paid that amount for a beer would not only be an idiot but as its Budweiser, truly one of the worst beers in the world, display a, total lack of taste.
  11. I don't know why people are so surprised at a booze ban in world cup stadiums, or for that matter so angry when most to have expressed anger won't be there anyway. It may come as a shock to many but it is actually possible to watch and enjoy a game of football without alcohol. As for the hypocrisy of FIFA in allowing drinking for the corporate punters that was a given wasn't it?
  12. But good marketing would ensure there would be sufficient stock to meet peaks in demand, especially at Christmas.
  13. I can understand your disappointment but not shock. As a corporation City have no marketing skills whatsoever.
  14. Probably but there may be other reasons he's known as Big Rob.
  15. We played well today and should of won but we were a little shot shy and we wasted some good positions. At least twice Tommy had a chance to take on the last man and get a shot away but elected to pass which came to nothing. Yet another blatant nailed on penalty denied but no shocks there. Watford managed one shot in the entire game, an awful effort after 76 minutes which flew high and wide. Overall happy with the performance but it feels like two points dropped.
  16. I've already stated I don't think we'll get out of the group and I haven't changed my mind with this squad. Ridiculous that Tomori is not included while Maguire is. We are short of a proper left back option as its not where Trippier should play, and in the absence of Chilwell I'd have brought Creswell back. Ward-Prowse should have been ahead of Conor Gallagher but England always take a youngster that doesn't play so perhaps that's his role.
  17. Doesn't matter who goes, we won't get out of the group.
  18. With apologies to all concerned but I've just been informed that Andrew was 44 not 46.
  19. It is with great sadness that I have to report that Andrew (Andy) Harte, one of our greatest disabled supporters, a true Red and one of life's battlers passed away at home at 4am this morning at the age of just 46. Sincere condolences, my thoughts and prayers go out to Stephen and family at their great loss. Let us increase the volume for the lads this Saturday in memory of Andy who might not be there in person, but will be there in spirit. RIP mate.
  20. Totally unacceptable. There are bad performances, and then some. I didn't have a problem per se with the starting line up but I expected more, certainly from the senior players such as Klose and Weimann and from those who see themselves as having a bright international future like Semenyo whose first half performance barely rated a 2. If he thinks he's playing not to get injured before the world cup I wouldn't have him in the Ghana squad at present. We improved once Conway was introduced but he and Wells should of been on together at half time (if not after 15 minutes when we were two down).. Out of the Carabao Cup and now 20th in the league with Watford on Saturday the players shouldn't expect time off for the World Cup but should get their asses on the training pitch.
  21. I'm sure the FA will find a way of rounding the exchange rate down to the nearest pound, of withholding all or part of the payment or paying later in 2023 while they bank the interest on the monies in their account.
  22. OMG! What a sport. Watched England v Spain this afternoon in the Rugby League world cup from the Copper box arena. The skill levels were astounding and the hits as players were knocked over, and even out, of their chairs were brutal. How they manage to play 40 minutes per half is incredible. I'll certainly be tuning in again.
  23. As a mate of mine has posted elsewhere. 'This us the same FA that are currently trying to overturn Jurgen Klopp's fine for his sending off against Manchester City! Have they retrospectively reviewed that tackle on Williams? Are they going to? Don't know why I'm even asking that'
  24. An iconic goal which was voted Goal of the Season and is why he's remembered. It was of course the equaliser which took the replay into extra time where Ricky George scored the winner. He only played 61 games for Hereford and only scored 6 goals. Its a sad day though so RIP Ronnie.
  25. I'm not sure I really care. All I know is both Wales and Cymru are 5 letters long which spells Loser in any language.
