  1. I'd have a system where VAR is switched off, the VAR official is told to take a powder, and the on-field match official makes his own mind up without any interference from a remote individual.
  2. Irrelevant. The on field match official is the final arbiter not some numpty sat in a room watching a monitor hundreds of miles away. Today's officials in the Premier league and throughout the EFL not only lack the courage of their own convictions but are worst in decades. Whoever is training and guiding today's referees is doing a p**s poor job.
  3. Maybe, tight call but its so infuriating. They want more physical contact but only obviously by/against certain players and teams. VAR should be abolished but as it won't be it should only be used to look at clear and obvious mistakes and in real time, no slow motion.
  4. Even better. I'd forgotten Wolves were that low then.
  5. Who was the last player to have a run of games for England while playing in the second tier? Steve Bull perhaps.
  6. I'm not happy about cards for dissent but otherwise I like the fact we're not such a soft touch any more. We've been relegated in the past with the best discipline record in the division and that isn't right. I'm happy that now, within reason, we have players prepared to take a card for the team.
  7. Totally agree. Four and a half minutes to reach a, disgraceful decision. VAR and especially the utter plonkers who administrate it are killing football.
  8. Flint is like a reverse Samson. His performance has seriously diminished since he grew back his hair.
  9. Are you in the market for an insurance claim and new son-in-law?
  10. ? A Reading win will see them above us by a point. Hardly running away.
  11. He's a good player but he still didn't score. I need to see a better angle but I'm not sure his effort was going in before Flint sliced it into his own net.
  12. Everybody knows VAR is c**p. The authorities know VAR is c**p but they don't want it to be perfect. They have to find jobs for their poorest referees and someone has to justify the ludicrous payments given to the a**ewipes of pundits lined up to comment on the bleedin obvious.
  13. Goal given to Lucas Jaoa but surely that's a Flint own goal.
  14. That was such a poignant moment yesterday when Jay came on wearing the 9 shirt. It's so hard to believe it's 12 years since Adam passed.
  15. Those who were yelling for more starts for Nakhi should be feeling justifiably smug right now. Another great result and I'm looking forward to turning over Norwich at Carrow Road.
  16. I can see why it wasn't given as the ball came off his leg up on to his hand.
  17. Burnley should have put that to bed in the 2nd half. WBA are so wasteful in the final third. A draw is a good result for the rest of the division.
  18. My objection to wearing a blue kit, of any hue, is that we invariably lose when wearing such.
  19. I feel that Burnley are very controlled and playing within themselves while WBA are a bit frantic.
  20. I'm not sure I can add much to what's already been said. I'm liking the squad too, which seems very together, and if we can avoid serious injuries I am looking forward to a comfortable top half of the table finish. I suspect (hope) that we will avoid a points deduction but even if we a small deduction fully expect us to overcome it. I expect more to come from the U21s. Towler and Idehen going out on loan could mean that Aroaye plays more for the U21s alongside Callum Wood and Joe Low, who looks the real deal and may get a 1st team start or two before the season finishes. Dylan Kadji has already appeared in the Carabao Cup and surely young Owers and, Tommy Backwell will get a look in somewhere, if only training with the 1st team. Exciting times ahead.
  21. The cruyff turn in the second half while defending was outrageous. I tend to side with good outweighing the bad at present but he is responsible for a number of goals we've conceded thus season so needs to up his game going forward.
