  1. That prat Prutton has predicted a 2-1 City win tonight so it won't be that.
  2. Ridiculous that these games from the HPC are not on Robins TV.
  3. Given that most songs on British terraces come from American songs! Show tunes e g you'll never walk alone, Blue moon, the red red robin, Goodnight Irene etc perhaps the yanks could reciprocate with English songs, 'Who are you?' being an obvious choice.
  4. About right. Never liked the badge which looks more like a stylised BS for Bristol Sport than any resemblance to a Robin. If only we'd put a Robin on a gate with the Clifton suspension bridge in the background.
  5. Happy Birthday Mr Dicks and May you have many more.
  6. I love watching his interviews. The way he puts down the Press, and their non-sensical questions, always amuses me. You would have thought by now that they should be au fait with the workings of the club and the manner in which Nige operates but they never learn. Great stuff.
  7. The importance is that he remains fit and healthy for himself and his family. He has been, and will always be missed by City and supporters everywhere. I wish all the best in whatever the future holds for him.
  8. Interesting piece on Watford's 100 years at Vicarage Road last night. The first team to introduce a family stand which is now named after Ann Swanson the supporter who set it up. Made we wonder if there are any other grounds that have a stand named after a supporter rather than a player, chairman, director, owner etc.
  9. We know it's always been two thirds red one third blue but fractions beyond a half are too complicated for the gentlemen of the Press.
  10. Signed hs first professional contract, a 3 year deal. Another advancing through the academy. Araoye says it's a 'dream come true' as hard work is rewarded with pro City deal https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-starlet-reacts-becomes-7515827#ICID=Android_BristolPostApp_AppShare
  11. Glad that's cleared up. I was unsure whether I should be supporting Kiwi or Cherry Blossom whilst buffing up the footwear in the water closet.
  12. Promised him free bets on 365 but he's bet on Sunderland to finish above Stoke.
  13. I do despair sometimes when the ball is pumped into him in the manner that it is. He wins his fair share of headers by timing his jumps well but at 6ft he's no collossus of a centre forward. Much better to ping it to his feet where he can lay off to runners.
  14. Why is it that only left pegs are magical? Nobody ever talks about a magical right peg.
  15. I rather like the biscuits. It is well worth a visit but get yourself fit before visiting the Cathedral. It's at the top of Steep Hill and the name is not ironic.
  16. Just got in from Wycombe and it's job done. Another early goal (from young Kadji) but we didn't capitalise in the 1st half. After Wycombe's equaliser they troubled us for a spell but the subs made a difference, particularly Scott who glided past players. Good goal from Kane Wilson who guided the ball into the net and a simple tap in for Semenyo after Conway unselfishly slid it to him past their keeper. Not sure about Tanner playing the right side of a back 3 but otherwise we did enough to earn our home tie with Lincoln in November.
  17. A stellar career. I wish her all the best in whatever she does with the rest of her life.
  18. No surprise. As mentioned elsewhere Francois is injured and Pearson made it clear at the end of the pre-season friendlies that Araoye will play in his own age group. As he's 17 that means the U18s mostly with perhaps the odd game for the U21s
  19. I'm going. I sort of like Adams Park as the partridges fly in from down the valley. Point of information. For a Windsor Chair (the ones where turned slender spindles are socketed into a solid saddle shaped seat) to be genuine it must be made in Wycombe.
  20. I always thought Morton to be a decent player. But as I said back on July 3 he seems destined to be another Frankie Artus, a perennial player, even sometime captain for the reserves/development side but never to don a 1st team shirt.
  21. Discussed by Klopp. I've seen nothing official from the Premier League.
  22. That travel between Anfield and Old Trafford is so arduous! Cardiff's travel to Ashton Gate must have been an eternity.
  23. Yet another player that I remember from my youth has signed on for Celestial FC at Heaven Stadium. David Armstrong played over 400 times for Middlesbrough and was an important player in Jack Charlton's Division 2 (Championship) winning team. 67 is too soon to be leaving us. RIP David and condolences to family, friends and football fans of a certain age everywhere.
  24. And, although nothing to do with City, Robert Landowski's who celebrated by scoring twice for Barcelona against Real Sociedad.
