  1. I presume that the direction of travel for the World Cup is East.
  2. I don't have a problem with this. Coins will only be confiscated if they haven't been previously discarded as asked. Just don't take coins and use your card or dispose if them in a charity box at somelical pub or restaurant before pitching up to the ground. As for vaoung it's a, disgusting habit anyway
  3. Have to break out the Izal for away fans in future.
  4. I see young keeper Mac Boyd has gone on loan to my home town team Melksham Town. I understand he started yesterday but sadly the Black and Yellow family went down 3-2 at Lymington.
  5. Not any more as I think London Irish now play at Brentford. West Brom's Hawthorns is closer than Villa Park.
  6. Same thoughts. They don't share the King Power, Leicester Tigers play a, short walk away at Welford Road which holds nearly 26000 as the largest purpose built regularly used Rugby Union stadium in the country. Might need, some conversion to allow football but it has four segregated stands.
  7. They won't go back to Sixfields as it holds less than 8000. Franklin's Gardens, home to Northampton Saints, holds over 15000 but I'm not sure what work would be needed to allow football to be played there. Why not go to Leicester, its closer to Coventry than Walsall.
  8. The women march on. Another terrific win on the road and another goal for Shania Hayles who's on fire. 5 points clear so it's so far so good.
  9. Premier ref, probably thought it was a bit beneath him. Contrast with WBA last season when the match was stopped twice for separate illness incidents.
  10. I understand your point but are you saying you wouldn't watch the highlights if Cardiff or the Gas took an almighty beating. That's Entertainment and far better than watching yet another repeat of a sitcom.
  11. I watch it all if we win and don't watch it if we lose unless Cardiff, the Gas or Swindle have taken a real hammering when I just watch those bits. If we draw I may watch depending on how good a, draw it was.
  12. Interesting. How does that work from Step 5 to Step 4 and entry into the Southern.
  13. The Western League is now dominated by Devon and Cornwall clubs and with a few Dorset clubs thrown in the mileage has certainly racked up in recent years. I begin to feel the SW Peninsula League needs to be raised a level. I'm not sure that the restructuring of the leagues by the FA that saw nearly all Wiltshire clubs moved to the Hellenic has helped.
  14. Good news! Ashton can forget about reapplying now that BoJo has pulled out of PM race.
  15. Hopefully Richard Gould will scrap the absolute tosh that is the Hundred. I'd also favour a total restructure of the cricket fixtures. Get either the T20 or 50 over competition out of the way before the County Championship starts. Play the County Championship through in its entirety, then finish with the remaining limited overs competition. Alternatively play the 50 overs London Cup to a conclusion first, the play the County Championship alongside the T20 or a reintroduced 40 over Sunday League competition.
  16. Job for Ashton? If BoJo can attempt a comeback...
  17. Is cool still a thing? I thought it went out with The Fonz and Huggy Bear. As I assume we've moved on from Smokin' and Sick to some other random word to describe someone who's in or not.
  18. But the tractors got where ee cassnt backun hasn't. Personally I favour the old version. While any man who claims he not (at some time been) a w***er, I'd rather not pronounce it in public.
  19. Those who stay at home are fans. Those who go to live games are Supporters.
  20. West Brom are not a poor side but one that, despite last Saturdays win at Reading, is one lacking in confidence with players not performing to their abilities. They are a team full of players who would walk into almost any other side in the division including ours. There are plenty on here who would have loved the likes of Jonathan Swift and Jed Wallace (to name but two) here but always knew it was unlikely. We deserved the win last night because we never let them settle or establish a rhythm and pestered them into mistakes. They won a lot of corners but we looked solid all evening.
  21. I'm probably in the minority but I've never had a major problem with Keith Stroud. He can be a bit full of himself sometimes but he is his own man, rarely swayed by crowd or player reactions and gets most of the big decisions right. His problem for me is that there in match inconsistencies in his own game regarding lesser offences eg he will book a player for kicking the ball away but not one who petulantly throws the ball away. He's not as good a referee as Bobby Madley but I'd rather him than Andy Davies any day of the week.
  22. Finally saw us win at WBA. I missed boxing day 93 and 76. Well worth the wait as we looked in so much control tonight. With Klose marshaling the defence, James doing the same for the midfield and Wells for the forward line it was a superb all round team display. Toss up for MoM between Klose and Wells for me.
  23. If it means clubs will have to try harder to bring people to the ground it could be a good thing.
