I am surprised that there hasn't been any "official" announcement from the club this morning about this

Even if to explain that the details people were seeing was user testing data

The way our club continue to dismiss problems, pretend they go away and hope they don't have to address them is appalling

Really frustrating. It's quite disillusioning feeling so unimportant to an institution I put about a grand into every year.

It's like they see us fans as a nuisance to deal with. We just want to be kept in the loop. They forget we as fans and supporters care more about this club than many of them as employees.

  2. Ok, looks like it’s sorted (ish). Anyone in the industry of data or seen anything like this? Could this actually cause us big problems?

No I’m no JL before anyone asks ?

As incompetent as the club seemingly are in this department i would be shocked if the grumblings on here and all over social media haven’t gone unnoticed..

Once again the club have only got themselves to blame though. It’s a shame as we seem to be doing just about everything else correctly.

It does baffle me though..How hard is it to get a proper kit supplier sorted and keep the fans in consultation with any changes to the badge? It’s not rocket science is it..

This is the key for me. I'm frustrated by the weird home kit variability (collar size, shirt trim... why is it changing?!), and the clubs stark refusal to give us any indication of an away kit release (how hard is it to tweet that the away kit launch is being prepped and all is well, enough people are asking).

BUT I don't want bad feeling seeping from the fans into the club just as we're heading into a hopefully very productive season. If the kit is the biggest problem, that's a fairly charmed life. Hopefully this O'Neill's deal is short and sweet and we'll be back with a proper distributor when we're in Europe in a few years :D

  4. A couple more games under the belt and the lads seem to be playing well. Still no sign of Kal sadly.

    Injured:

    Atkinson

    Naismith

    Benarous

Ross McCrorie was absent from both games today. Potentially an injury, but that’s not confirmed at the moment (to my knowledge). I note there were some subs today, I take that to be a case of controlling minutes and legs rather than injury subs? I didn’t watch either game but can’t see anything about knocks in the mdt.

    2 weeks to go ?⚪

Doesn't look like many tickets have been sold this one. Just had a quick look at the ticketing website - below is S22 which is almost completely sold out to season ticket holders and is normally the first to be sold as it's the best block in the cheapest stand. Quite a few left to say the least!

I’ll be buying a couple, just waiting on payday. Few others may be doing the same ?

  6. As soon as Leeson started earlier I was concerned about McCrorie and Tanner! Seems the former is playing no part today. Concerning.

    I’ve missed Naismith’s injury. Anyone?

‘Minor calf strain’ according to the local paper, fingers crossed they’re right! We’ve heard that before and not seen a player for two months.

Going to Cardiff then? They love one of our cast offs.

Cardiff are financially a bit wobbly aren't they. If he went to them and we didn't match their wage offer I'd be pretty disappointed.

We need an extra body who can play the two centre-half roles and he knows the team and city inside out. I'm still hopeful he signs.

Yep, first game of that season I remember watching us deservedly beat Sheffield United away.

As I said, its mildly interesting (or not for most).

I was on holiday for that Sheffield United game. My Gashead Uncle was having a lot of fun taking the piss... up until the Wade Elliot (I think?) winner!

  9. The really stark realisation of how little pre-season results matter came in 2014 for me. Before we won the double and got oh so close to 100 points I watched as we lost to Weston-Super-Mare.

Not a dig OP, just an anecdote I like to share. I’m sure many others recall that evening.

  10. Following our 7-1 win at the HPC against Swindon, we've had an an opportunity to look at swathes of our squad as we fielded 2 different XI's and some of our young guns, including OTC, Palmer-Houlden and Idehen, turned out for Swindon.

Everyone we expected to be present was. Wiles-Richards didn't play (I'm assuming he didn't get any time in Swindon's net?) as Bajic was given an hour instead.

Main headline, still no Kal :(

The amount of blue that has been pushed in the training gear, quite openly, how late the away kit is being released.

They are doing it so people get used to seeing blue, then release it late enough so it’s a

“oh, what you mean you don’t like it, we thought it was nice, we know for next year”

plus the hope that we win the first away game 4-0 and no one cares.

give or take a few days with the date

    18/19 released jun 25th

    19/20 released July 2nd

20/21 away kit released 20th august

    22/23 released July 14th

I could see there being something in them delaying the release of the third kit for fear of backlash. The club will be aware of how under scrutiny the club apparel is following the Hummel/O'Neills switch mid season and the negative reactions to both O'Neills kits and splat.

Or they're releasing it really late to try and maximise interest/'hype'? Either way it's a bit dumb. If the away kit proves popular, get it out now so you can sell more units and if it proves unpopular, rip the band aid off and get it over with. Finally bring this saga to an end ?

At the end of the day, it's one season. We'll have many more kits and suppliers over the coming decades. We may have to write this one off!
