    Just had an email from Stream AMG, they have now reversed the transaction, took £140 back, said they will then send the partial refund shortly. Blamed a system error for it but no apology or prior warning, got a notification from my bank at the same time as the email arrived.

    What if you don't have the funds in your account at the time or if you do, what if you can't afford the £140 today? Thankfully i did but might not be the same for everyone.

    They like to frame Ashton Gate as a premium venue and scream from the rooftops about that but at times it's anything but premium. If something like this happened at a concert then it could be really costly and damaging for the venue.

    I work in IT myself and I've always said that when thing's go tits up it's actually a really good opportunity to show how good we really are. Thing's do happen that are random or out of your control but it's how you respond that can enhance or ruin your reputation.

  3. Some of it might of been Internet related. Card readers, phones, RTV would all depend on this to work properly. They certainly should have a disaster recovery/contingency plan for the technology issues.

    Don't think turning Downsy off and on again would work though!

  5. After last weeks mess, the club got in touch in the week and instead of refunding me what they worked out to be the cost of one game on the season pass (£3.75) they refunded me the full £140. Pass still works but surely they can't refund me anything else and perhaps they've just decided it's going to be like this for the rest of the season so just go the full refund out the way!

    Glad i didn't try to give them the money back now. Utter shambles.
