Two weeks is a lot better than I was expecting - that’s good news on the scheme of things 🤞🤞

Hmm,, will have to wait and see, 2 weeks turns into 2 months with our lot these days

I still don't understand why Manning doesn't play Nahki with Tommy. I know it's not necessarily the way he wants the team to play but it's obvious Tommy is missing  his partner.

Agreed, at some point we need to score some goals, the ones most likely to score are conway, bell, sykes and wells, with twine as a supplier/ scorer in behind them. Im quite sure wells isnt the future, and i also appreciate that mehmeti is working hard for the team but offers practically no goal threat, but getting 3/4 of the above players on the pitch together is our best chance of scoring goals/ winning games.

I’d like to see this.  Most of this season we’ve said we want to see RM at right-back, but we’ve now moved away from this set-up.  For me it loses one player attacking wise.  And I don’t think our defence has been compromised playing a four anyway.

Yes agreed, i agree with it in the cup games to keep it tight but playing the wing backs with little goal threat limits the goal threat we pose

I thought both WB's were very good tonight , Cam could improve his delivery & shooting but what an engine.
Remember when he was being hooked at 70 minutes, loads of people saying he wasn't fit enough , not now that's for sure.
Could/should have had a goal . Good move from the corner , and the break when HC played him in . Great touch but running on an angle made the chance harder.
That part of the new style seems to be working, and with McCrorie on the other side we have balance . Best two players on the pitch tonight IMO.

Great powerful lads no doubt, but im really not sure theres much goal threat between them.

As good as Pring is, I do think he has a point on the final ball. It’s something he could get better at, considering the amount of times he puts the ball in the box, the quality is very rarely there in that respect. Brilliant again today though

Agreed, joe bryan played in the premier league because hes a step up on pring going forwards, though i do appreciate that all of the defenders including pring are giving us in these cup games!

Cant see our bosses liking that,,, someone credible, intelligent and with a very strong playing back ground being taken on in a coaching environment, will show them up for what they are.

No option published, and I guess being under 24 at the end of the contract means we had compo opportunity anyway.

Unless he went to celtic or rangers for example…

Why was my favourite moment of last night seeing TGH turn around and smack Cresswell 😂 I love that we have a few in our team who can get amongst it.

They looked scared s***less every time Pring went 50/50 with any of their players, and Williams getting stuck in like an old Tommy Doc. Brilliant.

To be fair, i like that tgh will get stuck in, but if he had got a red card for that and we lost the game, he will have got lambasted on here,, it was a stupid thing to do when we had the advantage and he got away with it.

He is playing for a contract, with us or somewhere else.

Yes, hes had a few really good games, but i would be looking to see if this level can be maintained until the end of the season before committing to an extension.

  10. Did really well in his first game,, big lad, like pring on the otherside. Im not sure theres going to be a lot of goal threat from them, but both strong powerful runners and pretty aggressive too

I thought the concourse etc knocked spots off the London Stadium, presumably they are not really that interested in competing with the other options available over in the Westfield etc. It might be different in the home end of course, I am guessing that the area under the Atyeo isn't much better than it was when we're in it back in the day, so maybe they give the worst bit to the away fans too?

I was in the home end there,,, it was pretty poor!

not as bad as watford away though!

Do you not think Williams is on this sort of sum?

Only player left on a pre pandemic contract, Holden’s marquee signing?

Not disputing your figures because we didn’t lose £22m by paying everyone £8k a week, that’s certain, but I reckon he’s right up there too.

Yes, hed have to be, wells too even with the reduced extension. Lots of good lads, good pros, but we aren’t getting a lot of value on the pitch at this point from them?!

Really good deal if it is true, but as we all said when manning came in….if given money to spend, I’m intrigued to hear how we were at our limit in terms of budget in October, but suddenly we aren’t at our limit now.

Weimann leaving will certainly free up a chunk,, though i wouldnt have thought it would cover all of twines wages
