If they’d only beaten Sheff United and then Plymuff
they could have had the excitement of playing a big club and a glamour tie in the fifth round

Yep. Knowing our luck he'll slip and break his neck doing it.
Very impressive but absolutely ludicrous to be blunt
Could end his career in a moment

What a strange interview from Tisdale
Sounds like he’s not that interested
oh well

Yep, cool finish considering the pressure he himself probably felt under. You can tell how much it meant to most of us on here, too.
Fair play to the lad.Just needs to put that celebration away - crazy

He did really well to keep his composure and hold the oncoming defender off whilst picking his spot.. all at pace.
Massive confidence boost hopefully. You can tell from the noise of the bench and his celebration how much that meant to him and the team.
He’s a good player in the making PF
If we are to push upwards his progress is likely to have a fair part to play (IMHO)

Brilliant goal. Showed what we already know he had; (pace, power and athleticism) and something which we didn’t - composure and finishing ability.
Hopefully this gets the ball rolling.
Good strikers finish
Or for his deflectors...... it luckily bobbled in front of him as he ran through and then he scuffed a shot which confused the keeper

This gem on gas chat...
Taylor giving the ref sh**e!
Wants to remember what team gave him his chance of a move to the Championship.
******* snake!Firstly it was probably down to his talent and skill he got the chance.
Secondly I don't recall the gas "giving him the chance", as far as I recall they tried everything they possibly could to keep him on the cheap. Thankfully due to the not so "super secret buyout clause" and our management they ended up with their trousers round their ankles looking like fools, while the rest of the football world looked on and laughed at them for losing their most valuable asset for a pittance to their fiercest rivals.
In fairness they gave him his chance to sample non-league football

Walsh was at the Huddersfield (a) game.
( No evidence to say he has )
But wouldn’t stop him attending if he was post CoVid but suffering with post symptoms Tho Dave

Conspiracy theory here. Maybe one of our players has it. Joe Williams for example. His return date keeps getting extended month by month.
Not all players are open to announcing that they have Covid and the club respects that by coming up with a cover story.
Wouldn’t surprise me , and has crossed by mind
Newcastle have two out still trying to recover post CoVid and only recently revealed that
For elite athletes any post CoVid will have a significant impact
Walsh, if anyone , would be my guess

Am looking into the possibility, however most direct flights into Adelaide have been suspended so will need to go via Sydney, Melbourne or AN Other which is just a pain. Either way it would mean 14 days quarantine on arrival and then if there was an interstate outbreak could mean another 14 days quarantine in Adelaide so 28 days in total. Unlikely she will last that long. At the moment Facetime is as good as it gets.
She had her op eventually after a couple of postponements but then later in the day had a fall breaking her nose. They gave her a scan which then showed up that the cancer had spread to her brain. She just can't win at the moment.
She has gone home now to be with Dad and has ceased any further treatment although we have organised palliative care for her on a daily basis and her GP will do a home visit 2-3 times per week. Not an easy task when I am in France and she is in Australia. Problem is that in hospital the visiting is too restricted due to Covid (max 30 mins per day) and they just want time together. Hospital is also 30 odd miles away from their home and my 96yo Dad no longer drives so he relies on my Sister in Adelaide (60 miles away) to take him every day. They have been married for 72 years. Can't blame her really as I would do the same. Quality rather than quantity now.
Life eh !!
Blimey Tone
Awful , simply awful , bless ya
Is there somebody (Family ?) close by in Aus that can look after your Dad ?
I know you certainly won’t , but it’s so easy to forget those that are suffering close to , and whose health affected too
And you too Fella , try and look after yourself and stay strong

Wonderful nostalgia
Bizzarrely Joe Durrell is a player I’ve always remembered although he only made a handful of appearances for us on loan from West Ham - good little player but a decent career never came
IIRC he was quite electric on his debut at AG
Also a quick reminder in glimpses of what top players Collier and a Cheesley wereA side full of good servants , decent players, and good characters
Even the Sags had a few decent ones
Happy days , great memories

Forget the CoVid crisis
The Sags ridicule thread had dropped to half way down page 2Disgraceful

I have the opposite as my Mum has just been transferred from Victor Harbor to Flinders in Adelaide in the paliative care unit. Want to visit but just can't. She's been told she only has a couple of weeks left. Feeling devastated.
That’s awful Tone -
There was an added cruel twist and trauma when my mother was diagnosed terminally ill
So my deepest sympathies & thoughts fella , such a tough time , so cruel

Why the flames on my post?
I wasn't having go at Phantom.
I absolutely agree with his post. I was just pointing out that some people, and they may be friends of yours, won't call you so it's a reminder to us all that while we are always available to our mates, take a moment to give them a call.
I'm sorry if it seems I was negative. I genuinely believe that sometimes it's better to check in rather than wait too long for a call that may not come.
Flames - On Fire / red hot ie. Top Post mate
You (so astutely) highlighted one of the absolute key things in how to help
I won’t go into why , but you are so so so on the mark -
make the call , .........don’t ever risk wishing you had

Ha ha. Exactly.
My idea of a plan that’s been ready since the summer would be :
12pm - Govnt announcement
12.05pm - Publish the pre-written article outlining the plan.
Yes
The only thing they couldn’t pre cater for is what season ticket holders will be in what tier at the time AG opens up as Tier 2
But that wouldn’t effect any pre planning or overall plan

Caught on the back foot??
So why has Ashton come out and said they’ve had a “clear operational plan since the summer”?And Mark Kelly
If they have a plan as they claim that should be ready to implement at any point.
Thats the idea of a plan isn’t it

So fans will now be back at the Gate on boxing Day, some good news at last,
I hope the club will announce soon how they are going to decide who gets the first 2000 ticket,
I would like to see the club use attending away and cup games as an easy way of working it out , those who have followed city most over the last 3 seasons Should get first dibs,
I am guessing any city fans in south Gloucestershire will be banned so that should help, but still see being a hard choice for the club who gets the tickets
Nice try
No chance
Season Ticket holders first

The ex-Magpies midfielder was sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court this week after being arrested as part of a major Warwickshire Police operation targeting people involved in supplying Class A and B drugs in the Rugby area.- 1

I left 5 mins before the end when City were losing 0-2 under LJ against either Fulham, QPR or Leeds and were playing absolutely dreadfully and no way were City going get back in it. That was only time that I was so angry that I wanted to go around the concourse and give LJ both barrels of verbals........iI didn’t tho.
So you’ve bottled father and son then !

Sorry to hear that awful news Tone
Nothing anyone says, will really ease any pain , but from personal experience , the relief that they are free from suffering is very much something to be thankful for
Having said that , we only have one Mum and Dad and losing them is extremely painful and doesn’t leave us but no one can take away years of memories
Thoughts Tone with you , your siblings and your Dad
