  1. I will stick my neck out and say I would fear more a team trying to get into the playoffs than one comfortably qualifying as a minimum.
  2. Do you think they got her back to earth or is she still drifting in the stratosphere 50 years later?
  3. Their next home game is 24th Feb so time now to pop the next batch in the oven. 240degC for 11 days should do it?
  4. In this case then, Flat Holm, maybe add Steep Holm on a good day. I think they were suggested as new stadium locations in the past so it could become their heart land.
  5. Like the way the pedestrian just stands there! 'Not my problem.....'
  6. Deliberate! Would be funnier if not I admit.
  7. At least the worries of the local residents about huge crowds and traffic congestion with the new stand never came to fruition. Oh the ironing.
  8. There isn't a single metric for measuring cities against each other. Bristol isn't in the top 5 of any of them though. The biggest number I could see was 750,000. So that's 742,500 locked out then.
  9. Great to see that. As Merrick was one of my favourites, I will be incredibly picky and say a classic image would have seen him leaning in the other direction and kicking the ball with his left foot but I guess the windows on the wall get in the way somewhat. Thanks for the photos.
  10. Nice to see the coaches taking note of our knowledge. You're welcome Liam . Hopefully the Leeds performance has been put to rest since then, the win at Boro must have given the squad a lot of confidence.
  11. I haven't checked but I assume there will be the usual comment - 'we should be beating teams like Fleetwood Burton Stevenage'. I wonder if it is a supporter age thing? A bit like on here when some of us wonder how come Luton are in the PL. You have to play the team, not the name.
  12. Thought Leeds in the cup was 37k and Liverpool 38k but may be wrong. Anyway, not mid week so.....
  13. Excellent humour about your club Bert. Can I suggest some may have missed the several funny changes Bert has made to the original message? Please read his version again if so.
  14. Thanks Bert. Can I observe the above text in bold? I guess rehab after nutrition sounds just the ticket. .
  15. Right, important point here, what would the chart look like if it was the top 2 in an area? Bristol Manor Farm, step forward.... (Source: Monopoly Inc)
  16. I think there is potential for an episode of Silent Witness based on the burnt pasty. I hope the BBC accept my script, it is a favourite program of mine:- Scene 1, The Labs. Hey Nicki, we have to go out, there has been a report of a suspicious pie at a football ground. Ok Jack, somewhere nice? Ashton Gate maybe? No, sorry. It's Bristol Rovers. Oh no. Never mind, at least we can bolster the crowd by 2 more. As its The Mem I will get the hazmat suits. Scene 2, The Mem What do you think it is Nicki? Hard to tell Jack. It could be a sausage roll or a pasty, DNA will tell us. Whatever it was it has been badly over cooked. The customer never stood a chance (shakes head). Let's get it back to the labs, we don't want to stay too long, there is a match on soon. You're right Jack. Looking around here we should get a toxicology report too. Scene 3, The Labs Hey Jack, look at this bruising. It seems to have hit something hard. Yes Nicki. Perhaps it was being thrown onto the pitch but hit a pillar instead? That's very likely Jack, there are a lot of pillars there. What puzzles me is the pie was reported over cooked yesterday but the use by date on this burnt wrapper says 2021. That doesn't make sense. Maybe there is something else going on here. (They exchange knowing looks, cut to music). The End. Apologies to genuine Rovers fans, just having some fun.
  17. I feared we might slide after watching the Leeds game but despite the penalties the last 2 results, at full time, have given me a lot of hope. It tells us that the players are together and are ok with LMs plan.
  18. I don't think we need to know any attendance figures, having just watched some highlights of games today, the empty spaces in their new stand will tell the owners that they needn't build anything else.
  19. I am not even sure what it was. Going back to my Silent Witness joke, I think they will need DNA and toxicology reports to tell us more.
  20. Looks like something from the BBC drama, Silent Witness. No Emilia Fox though.
  21. Todays games......1-2, 1-2, testing testing, 1-2, 1-2.
  22. Stirring it up again, that's the spirit.
  23. As I don't have a creative bone in my body, I am in awe of such genius. Would love to be able to do what he does. (Squires, not Wilder!).
