Who have their first game in 2 weeks! Leaving it late. That sounds very plausible. I guess we none of us know what goes on behind the scenes, but I'd be very very surprised now if we saw him again.

You'd have to assume that Han has options. As you said recently, surprised that he's left it this late (and most European leagues start as early as we do this year). But I guess its just about weighing options. I suppose for Tomas the options may be a little more difficult - whether any offers he has match City's and are worth uprooting for. All speculation of course!

If you build without consent then you can certainly be required to take it down completely. And will be, if the consent isn’t granted (after appeal etc etc) Demolition is a bit different. This one was a grade 2 building. I doubt anyone would see any merit at all in the collection of tents that was taken down at the Mem They couldn’t use it without a safety certificate. Simple as. I’m assuming that wouldn’t be granted if there was no planning, but I’m not sure about that.

And, presumably, there’s no question of them getting a safety certificate until the planning consent has been granted. And any/all provisions complied with. ?

I think there's probably a logic in there! Whether it's the right one is another matter! I know what you mean. And to a point football clubs have been able to get away with it because there's a certain 'glamour' to working for a football club that means they're often able to pay less as a result. And, to a point, us fans contribute to that. Or at least have done in the past. I've a sense that might have changed a bit more recently as some of the excesses (not specifically talking Bristol City here) have become more blatant.

And a constant reminder, in the not so distant horizon, that it's not even Bristol's second stadium!
