  1. Probably the first time in history Tinnion has ever featured in a sentence containing the word “cunning”. Not the first time- Tinnion featuring in a sentence containing the word “dense”.
  2. No. He’s a major player in all this. SL has checked out, so do you honestly think JL could be driving all this? Seriously? Tinnion has gone from the bloke who looks after the players on loan, to being in charge of recruitment to now effectively being our head of all football operations. Does that sound like “being hung out to dry”? More like climbing the career ladder until you effectively have the same power as Mark Ashton once did. With Alexander gone we don’t even have a CEO to challenge him now, either.
  3. Jokanovic was one of several who weren’t interested when Nige got the job. Not a chance in a million, I don’t see Robins coming here to work in our current set up either, even if he was out of work. He’s a manager, Adie Viveash is his coach.
  4. Curtis has his family home in the North East, is very close to Nige & is in my opinion only still in post because he was the most senior coach left to hold the reins until they appoint “their” man. I’ll be very surprised if he is still at the club next month. Love him, though.
  5. And has regretted it ever since. Absolutely no chance whatsoever of this happening. Cringey as they are, if you listen to the hostage videos unless we appointed Mary Berry this is about as far away from the description of the candidate they are after. More chance of it being Curtis Fleming & there is zero chance of him, either.
  6. Not funnier, just different in terms of potential, aa ours & theirs are now chalk & cheese. However what we have in common is we both have owners who are making a complete mess of it, but in a totally different way.
  7. Controversial but Tanner being fit might be the best news of all. Means Sykes plays where he is most effective. Having said that, one of Vyner or Naismith back alongside Dickie greatly strengthens us too.
  8. Ronnie Flanagan, former head of the Royal Ulster Constabulary (as was). ”Consultants come in, steal your watch, then tell you the time”. One of the wisest quotes I have ever heard about work.
  9. That’s because JL & Tinnion have to get someone to explain to them how they can vote.
  10. Who is surprised, he’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer, is he? Contrast him speaking to Pearson..
  11. Thing with stats is this, Danny Wilson had a brilliant win ratio because he never got us up. This meant he got loads of games against Colchester & Stockport, winning them is nowhere the achievement a point at Sunderland is, yet the win ratio is better. Context is vital, our managers who solely managed us at Championship level have to be treated differently. If AD won 12 games out of 42 in the top flight, how can anyone honestly say that Cotts winning loads more in L1 is better? It obviously isn’t. On a different topic just watched the video, just awful. Play School questions from Dave Barton (money for old rope that job) & simplistic, cliched answers from a total snake. We see you Tinnion, you have form for this.
  12. Still completely baffled by the half a dozen or so posters who have joined OTIB in the last two days & are suddenly complete experts on us & the rest of the Championship. Am I the only one?
  13. Entirely my take. Last time pre Nige we got Dean Holden, this very clearly would not be that. Agred 100% with new ownership needed asap & Tinnion to leave with them, too.
  14. Off- in fact not getting ON the field..
  15. Genuine question. Is this a thing in the States? Aren’t Basketball, American Football & Baseball (their 3 major sports) kept pretty distinct from an ownership perspective? The point I was making re rugby is it really isn’t a “thing” over there, so might be part of the reason SL seemingly can’t sell.
  16. Fair enough, don’t follow it. My point Nick is really this; If you’re Hank Kingsley from Moose Jaw Utah & you’re now looking to buy an English “soccer” club, you don’t want the complication of purchasing a multi sport organisation, especially if one of them (“what the hell is rugby”) is completely alien to you, do you?
  17. By 3 different teams & by 3 different managers. Struggling to understand your point, he’s 24 & now playing National League South.
  18. Morton couldn’t get in the side on loan at any of Grimsby, Gillingham & FGR. That might be why he wasn’t given a chance.
  19. They’re in our division. Their owner is sound. He doesn’t get any interference from a DoF. Why on earth would he move here?
  20. If LJ is there it is far more likely that he’s looking at potential loans for January. No way will it be him, the reaction would make this week look like a tea party.
  21. Why on earth would he leave a similar sized club in the North who are 3rd, so in with a very good chance of promotion, to join us? Gary Owers said him too, I can’t believe for a moment he’d be interested.
  22. Quite possibly. Worth pointing out though he’s 22 so fair bit older than most of this lot & has had lots of loan spells at some odd places. Probably depends what Hines (& Tinnion) think.
  23. Yep, posted this before Nige was sacked. Him or Liam Manning would be the most likely, I reckon.
  24. And on it goes, let’s find a club with a worse owner & forget plenty with far better ones.
