  1. That’s supposed to make me any more positive? Don’t get the love others have for him, he was a good player with a lengthy career at AG, nothing more. When I listen to him, he’s pretty inarticulate & just repeats stock phrases. Seems very happy to change horses in order to stay in his current role to me. This summer he talked about lower league players with over 100 appearances as our targets, unless we are seriously suggesting Jason Knight, a current international who has played most of his career at Championship was one, we then didn’t sign any of them.
  2. I absolutely would. His family home is in the North East, he’s Nige’s appointment & we are looking elsewhere. Might not even be in charge for a game. No chance.
  3. Spot on. Wednesday will see a club in a mess as a winnable game, QPR (allegedly about to appoint Warnock) exactly the same. I don’t understand those who have any faith in Lansdown & his son to appoint the right person, their track record (remember Cotts was Keith Dawe’s pick) is abysmal.
  4. As long as they’re not Saudis or Chinese, bring it on.
  5. Spot on. They were desperate after the shambles of Holden so held their nose & appointed a leader. They didn’t like him though & once he started telling our idiot chairman where it was going wrong they didn’t like the message so set him up to fail. They are the constant behind our underachievement, it is all on them now.
  6. No, but that person doesn’t exist.
  7. Interested to know on what basis you have any confidence about the “right appointment”. Not sure about the subs or tactics point, either. Pep would struggle with what he’s had available & lack of funds.
  8. Absolutely. Frustrated by the number of injuries at present but still recognise this bloke was a leader in his field. He was the only staff member who was also a mate of Nige’s, even more than Curtis, so was never sticking around after he was sacked. Another legacy of our blundering owner.

    The Return

Almost certainly Ayala who signed for Rotherham this week. As for those questioning the substance, look at this guy’s track record.
  10. Only time he’s ever managed above L2 he got relegated. Looks an inspired choice to me.
  11. Can’t sack all of them as well can they? Fair play to them for doing so, Tommy C & Andi Weimann seemed to be the first to do so.
  12. With the Lansdown’s track record there is absolutely **** all chance of that happening. They are more likely to appoint Holden again than find the right person.
  13. We were fifth when we beat Plymouth on September 19th, so that’s bollocks, isn’t it?
  14. Have a billionaire father, that’s it. He’s not actually qualified for much, which is why he’s let lose with the crayons & a video camera from time to time. Would say nice work if you can get it, but he doesn’t “work”.
  15. Seeing as we won away games during that period, the longest losing run definitely trumps that.
  16. Well that explains a lot. Is he a mate of Tinnion’s?
  17. Yep & before that appointing Pulis. Worst sacking I can remember, was very disappointed when Cotts left but he got longer in our first season up & we were struggling more than we are now.
  18. I was actually discussing with DaveFevs a while ago what the score was with Cisse. Not seen him in any training videos all this season & as our quota of French speaking players was down to one, just assumed he’d left. Frankly bizarre that he’s now in some sort of coaching role, even if briefly.
  19. So it must be a school friend of JL? Certainly passes all the applicable tests with our “board”, doesn’t it?
  20. His last one was “liking” some post about Mason Greenwood. So very strange how these pro sacking posters with virtually no history of commenting on City have suddenly appeared, isn’t it?
  21. They could approach whoever they liked. Everyone apart from Nige & Paul Cook told us to eff off.
  22. I didn’t. Scott Davidson had a vision but nowhere near the money of these people. Les Kew was basically a parish councillor & small time businessman, I saw him paying to go in a season or two ago. That’s a true red, he took over when Des Williams passed on & backed TC & Joe Jordan as much as he could. The Russe era was nonsense but over very quickly. These people are super rich but basically a clown show.
  23. If you made it 40 minutes in to the game until 10 minutes into the second half, no one would notice the difference.
  24. Where do you sit? Really interested to know.
