As many have said, this decision was made some time ago. It’s the only plausible reason NP was not backed financially in the summer following the sell of Scott. They didn’t want him spending the money set aside for the next guy, not that I expect that to be much! I was gutted when Gary Johnson left even though he had clearly run its course. Cotts was screwed over that transfer window believing deals were lined up only to have the rugged pulled from underneath him. This one leave the most bitter taste by far. It’s not often so many of the fan base are still fully supportive of a manager and the board chose to fire them.

“Ambition to be promoted” is a direct quote from Jon Lansdown regarding the decision to fire Pearson… Let’s see how serious that ambition is with this next appointment shall we!

I’ve not seen those comments. People choosing not to go for a game to protest is perfectly acceptable. Personally I feel vocal protests are a better way of doing it.

Against the joke of a board and their decision to fire Pearson. Show Pearson the backing he still had from the fans. SL had let down Cotts and threw him under the bus and now the same for Pearson. While in between the two, allowed Johnson to run this club into the ground season after season. Time to force his hand and move this club on to someone capable.

So when does someone become an expert? I always thought commentators and pundits are chosen because of their expertise?

Ah sorry, I was on about the lead up to their first goal, not the penalty incident. Completely misunderstood the conversation! Having said that, I don’t recall thinking this was as much of a penalty as the one on Sykes at the time. Seeing the different angles now though it looks like a decent shout. There is no way Pring was fouled. Wouldn’t even go as far as to say he was nudged. It was a half hearted attempt to challenge for the ball as he was turning his back to it.

Not nice pointing fingers but Pring needed to be stronger for their first goal. How he’s let the attacker get the ball so easy and, in fairness to to guy, smash one top bins like that I do not know. Pring was great going forward yesterday but was definitely caught out for their first. If we hung on to that 2-0 lead for longer we more likely would have seen the game out.
