  1. Wouldn’t be upset to see Scott taken off at half time. He’s been on the end of a few heavy challenges late in that first half.
  2. How the hell has this thread progressed to one about Semenyo??? ?
  3. Okolie is such a horrible fighter to watch. Should be losing this on point deductions alone
  4. Starts against PSG tonight. Clearly his future is elsewhere but interested in how he gets on against the superstars
  5. Seems like a lot of people aren’t big fans of Lockyer. I can only assume it’s because of who he has played for in the past…. Personally I think he has everything we need in terms of attitude and application. Not the biggest but doesn’t get bullied and does the dirty side of things well. We complain all the time that we are too nice of a team. Need more about us when it comes to the not so nice to be watch side of the game if we are to challenge at any point. For Lockyer in particular, the be on the verge of the premier league now having spent most his career in the lower leagues is quite an achievement for him personally.
  6. Well done to everyone who took part, be it Bristol or in Leeds. Having found myself at my heaviest/most unfit I have been in my life at the start of the year, I am back starting again. It’s a tough journey physically and mentally. If you look back to the earlier pages on this thread I was a keen runner, 51min 10k in 2015 was my PB and I had started training for a half marathon. I don’t know what happened in the years that followed but here I am. keep pushing people ?
  7. Will be interesting to see how he progresses. With his obvious connections to the area and club, could be our future manager in waiting if he builds himself a good reputation
  8. Most likely because there is a possibility someone will take offence to something and all hell breaks loose. Tends to be the done thing nowadays
  9. Great move for Bellingham but I would be disappointed not seeing him play in the premier league
  10. You are picking out one game in which Cornick, unquestionably, put in a superb performance. Yet he still gets chance after chance? And Mehmeti is only going to have a chance to improve end product if given the chance to play. While there is nothing on the line it was the perfect opportunity to give him those valuable minutes on the pitch to help coach/educate him.
  11. So Mehmeti has one poor game and is suddenly out the picture, yet other repeatedly put in poor performances and get given chance after chance?
  12. Yes I agree, but it’s those who refuse to accept that there must be more to it than just a numbers game. There is a reason others are starting/in the squad other than “balance”
  13. In the few mins he has been given since coming on vs Stoke Mehmeti had done well. Winner in that game, lively vs Middlesbrough but then given 3 mins here and there ever since. Hardly given a chance I’m sure you’ll agree. Our form hasn’t been great over the last few games and yet still doesn’t get an opportunity to change things for us. Yet Cornick gets given chance after chance??? If he was to have a big impact next season then surely giving him more minutes this season would be beneficial? Makes no sense to me however people try to justify it.
  14. It is and I think any other season would most likely be the case but both Millwall and Coventry have outperformed themselves this season. If anything it should give us hope. Luton are the club I’m most disappointed with being so far behind in terms of where we are. Based on last season they have not over performed, more so they now give themselves a decent shot of the playoffs on a nothing budget.
  15. Based on that I would rather have seen Mehmeti playing and getting more championship games under his belt given he could be a big part of our future. We have numbers, I don’t know if I would say we have strength.
  16. I think this could be why Mehmeti isn’t on the bench. Nothing to play for, going to be some sentimental farewell appearances so someone had to make way.
  17. The move to Brighton is one many city fans would like to see him make I feel, although in doing so he would have to be willing to recognise this would damage his England chances as players from Brighton don’t get call up, just ask Webster and Dunk. To get a call up he’d be better sitting in the bench at a big club!
  18. The joys of football is the difference in opinions I guess.. 2-0 up vs Liverpool, 2-0 vs West Ham, 3-3 draw vs Southampton at home. If that isn’t bottling it I don’t know what is. Purely out of interest now, if Man City failed to win the league from here on in, do you think they would have bottled it? Do you think they have one hand on the trophy now even though they have been in second place most the season and are still two points off Arsenal after tonight?
  19. Yes they have been without a key player but they have still thrown away 6 points in the last three games they should have won. It’s not even a case of ‘could have gone into tonights game with an 11 point lead’, it’s ‘should have gone into tonight’s game with an 11 point lead’! Plus I’m pretty sure they spent £20m on a centre back in January yet have continued to play Holding who is clearly out of his depth at this level. That’s on Arteta!
  20. I genuinely can’t see how they can say it’s been a good season after what has happened over recent weeks, regardless of what they’re aim at the start of the season was. Things change as a season progresses and they won’t have a better chance of winning the league again for many a year. Dropped points vs Liverpool and West Ham from winning positions and then against Southampton. It’s the exact definition of bottled it.
  21. Fair to say we put up a better fight vs Man City than Arsenal have!
