No idea, but plenty seem to.

I have a soft spot for a few different teams.

Always quite liked Liverpool, Celtic and there a couple of teams from around the world whose results I follow after playing as them on FM in my childhood.

But would happily see them all lose if it meant City picked up a draw away to some god awful side we otherwise might have lost to.

To badly quote a phrase I've seen on here before I would want us to win a corner before wanting any other team win a game.

So all I'm seeing here is "United are my second team"

Who has a second team? I thought that was only a myth that people like 2 teams, how do people with a second team deal with there 2 teams playing each other? If you're going to have 2 teams then why not just support 20 or more (or even all teams) and just sort them by priority?

That’s a lot of fans all coming to BS3.  If the local & national government were still wondering about the need for a rail station at Ashton gate you’d think this would persuade them

Unfortunately all evidence points to them putting in more parking restrictions.

  4. I don't think I've ever said on here that I want Pearson out but I did say at the beginning of the season that if we weren't above 18th at the end of year then I think it would be best if he moved on, we weren't above 18th (I think we were 19th) so of course I quietly went about thinking he should probably go, of course as soon as he hadn't met my personal target for him we start playing well and getting results. I can't change my mind because that would just be a knee jerk reaction to what is good form, we had good form before the first international break and then it all came crashing down playing some really bad football (not the worst in the last 3 years but still bad) but I will accept that for the first time in about 5 years this does feel like an upturn that won't just fall apart, of course now I have said that qué a 10 game losing streak.

I will forgive him if we finish above 16th. In the meantime I will continue to hope that this form continues

All down to training though, targeting the wrong age groups I'm afraid

You do realise that people in there 50s can pick the wrong seat just as much as a someone in there 20s? If they are doing it on purpose then once again we have some pretty ignorant/obnoxious 50yo in our support it's not just limited to "kids".

So how about me then, 56 and no threat to anyone.  Walk up the steps with a Clarke pie in one hand and a tea in the other. Season ticket is in my wallet and i then get by asked by a kid to show her my ticket. I said I've been sitting in my seat for years I know where I'm going and carried on walking.  Then she starts shouting at me and i refused a second time,  am in the wrong as well.

What I tend to do is pass them the stuff that's in my hand to get my ticket out, once they realise it's going to take a minute to get the ticket out and there is a large queue behind they tend to wave through.

  7. They seemed to be acting like the worst kind of door staff for the first 30 mins, walking around bumping into people, pushing them about, trying to be overly officious and IMHO trying to provoke a reaction.

Wasn't there a thread on here last week about the quality of stewards, we now seem to have lowered that bar by getting private security intent on picking a fight with fans/supporters/customers/punters (whatever we are this week).

We at are a stage where we are competitive and have the ability to consistently press teams and also beat other teams press. That takes a lot of energy, teamwork and skill. If NP can keep the squad on it for the next 4-6 games against some very decent sides then he may just have a special group of players to achieve what we all want

9 games unbeaten is no mean feat and I hope it continues, we may even get a penalty

That's relatively new since December, there were flashes at the beginning of the season but we haven't really been consistently competitive in this league for about 5 seasons. All good at the moment.

He going to take some time I feel. Positive in his first two appearances. But he going to be bench player, apart for injury's, for a while I think

Was he ever really more than that here I would say at a guess 99.9% of all games he played in he either got subbed or more likely was the sub.

If a child gets separated from his parent, blame the parent not anyone else....

When a steward is actively stopping a kid from getting to his parent and his parent from getting to the kid it's not really about blame it's about understanding what is clearly going to be an emotional response.

I've already said the kid was in the wrong to go on the pitch and I wouldn't mind if the club used this as a case in point and banned them both but as is so often the case with our stewards the response was a complete overreaction and a serious escalation rather calming the situation down.

  11. The major problem I thought the steward created was trying to keep the kid away from his dad, all the steward had to do was invite the dad to accompany his son for a "little chat" and I'm sure it could have all been dealt with much more calmly - separate a child and parent like that and you're always going to cause the kid to panic and the dad to want to protect.

On the first point…..yep, sadly so……although it’s part of a much bigger issue about wealth and inequality in Britain.

On the second, not sure that’s an issue of elitism…the opposite. Internet and something to connect to it are as a ‘utility’ nowadays - which is what the price increases they’re allowed to get away with are outrageous. But that’s probably for another thread!

I hope people that go to football realise when they protests against the rich that they are the rich.
