  1. A fair few people, for whatever reason!
  2. If it gets announced then yeah, I’d say that’s a sign for sure. If it doesn’t, and he still has left, tbey obviously just want to clear the decks for the new guy to say we have space for your men, and Hines/Cisse/King lead training this week
  3. A lot of eggs being prepared for faces if nothing happens today. A lot of I told you so’s being typed up if something does. Big day. A huge day.
  4. For those who think things won’t happen fast because he’s in a job, it’s similar to transfers. Everything will be basically agreed via representatives then will be down to the ‘formal permission’ and ‘approach’ that will sound like the first step, but is one of the last. Him saying he’s had no contact or approach was deliberate imo, he won’t have had contact or approach, his agent(s) will have and the discussion would be done through them. I’ve no idea if it’s him or not, but certainly wouldn’t rule something being done very very fast still if it was. Alex Neil was appointed Stoke manager with pre recorded media & all the morning after the ‘approach’ from Sunderland, and IIRC that wasn’t exactly very first in the day too.
  5. Don’t you remember the ITKers during the pandemic? I reckon a good 10 times I was promised by people whose friends brother was in the army and were going to be deployed on the streets to keep people indoors. Alas.
  6. I’m not one for defending the club at all, but he’s far far more highly regarded in the game than LJ, with a much better track record. As said before, footy fans will bemoan the likes of McKenna and Edwards being missed by their clubs, then bemoan lack of experience and ambition when appointing someone just like them.
  7. Would be very happy with this (if true) - probably up there as the best we could’ve hoped for, without the club having any eye overseas
  8. Odds on him have dropped a decent amount in last hour or so on skybet. Now 5/2 fav.
  9. I’ve no idea if true or not, but wouldn’t shock me at all if they just wanted him out so that Hines & Cisse can take charge of training themselves this week
  10. Yesterday wasnt progressive or front footed enough. Ali Hines to take every minute of every session this week, even if a new man is appointed, he’ll have to just watch from the sidelines. Didn’t you see the spurs u21 game???? God he’s good. Expect 07/08 United at QPR next Saturday.
  11. Not even a joke or trying to poke the bear, but just drove past about 4 filming vans/buses on new Charlotte st with people loading out cameras and mics etc, and a lot of people stood around being pointed into position. Not out the question that the lounge is being used for some scene / filming in an itv/bbc/Netflix series thingy.
  12. After turning down both Leicester and Southampton, more chance of Cotts coming back imo
  13. He’s in the mud after being sold a dud about Lampard. It’s dog eat dog out there, trust no one
  14. Right, Frank Lampard is having a Sunday roast at royal Marriott, and the club are filming it and editing the footage in the lounge Monday. Got it. I never want this managerial search to end in a way. The eagerness for people to ‘break’ who it is & when itll be announced is brilliant stuff
  15. Was upset when he clarified that. I was hopeful for an uninspiring one, as are most fans when their club is looking for a new manager
  16. Got it, Frank Lampard is making his film director debut in the lounge at AG on Monday
  17. ******* hell. That honestly sums that lot up. Really does.
  18. Far, far too handsome. Us lads would feel far too threatened. Someone would get hurt.
  19. People (or the bookies) are getting confused because he’s looking very likely to take over Rovers.
  20. Think he’s very keen to stay, and both us & him want to tie it up pretty soon into Jan
  21. Signed a new 4 year deal in May. Can’t see Coventry sacking him & paying that off. He’s so far in credit with them it’s unreal as well, going to take more than this to sack him
  22. Ah that’s a no then. If you read my post, I said the same re pearson. In dreamland if you think we’d be buying Robins out of his contract, and dreamland if Lampard would be interest. Dean Smith, christ, god no thanks. Stock couldn’t be much lower after his last so jobs. What do you think Luton fans thought of Rob Edwards appointment before he took them to the prem?
  23. ….? Ever seen any of their sides? Who do you want?
