  1. No Rob….anything to worry about @Port Said Red?
  2. It sounds like it’s rent increase that’s the big factor, but I’d be amazed if the charge isn’t a large contributor as well. Me and three mates try and do a cinema night once a month, two of them travelling down from Gloucester area, both of which have cars that have emissions low enough to mean they don’t pay road tax, and adding £9 on top of a ticket/food/parking to go there is totally ridiculous. What an embarrassment of travel choice we have made for ourselves under Rees. Pay a £9 charge, get the bus that either won’t turn up/take an hour to go 5 miles/find out that the service has been scrapped, try and cycle in risking your life due to all the roadworks, or use a Tier scooter that are basically unusable at the moment, if you’re even able to get hold of one. Class.
  3. I think he’ll end up as a LB. Can then move into CM when we’re going forward, means we can fit Rice & Bellingham & him together too with Foden higher up
  4. Was a good move from Ed to ask him about his personal life and career, seemed to liven/open up a fair bit more after that.
  5. Would be amazed if we don’t spend money in January, based on a few snippets of what he’s said
  6. Would keep an eye on that one, will be more developments. Chairman is a bit of a…uh…character, manager got sacked in front of the players.
  7. For a moment there, likely down to a combination of how poor/non eventful QPR was, and how long this international break he felt, I genuinely forgot he was our head coach
  8. Huge loss this, and the ridiculous car congestion charge no doubt a huge reason behind it. Probably mean a risk to all the restaurants around that part of CC too. Sigh.
  9. They STILL haven’t appointed someone???
  10. Me at the back nothing down anything that comes out of Tinnion/Marshall/Lansdown’s mouth that totally doesn’t add up to anything they’ve said over the last 11 months
  11. Managed to get one, Forza the play off squad Q&A reds.
  12. Hahahaha He’s one of the best players this country will ever see
  13. We didn’t speak to/interview anyone other than Manning, and local media didn’t report on anything other than Manning, so no not really
  14. There will absolutely be some that ask, no doubt about that. How many they allow is another question
  15. Hell of a risk. It’s gone public now, So if Taylor turns it down, Rovers crawl back to someone and basically say well now you know we didn’t really want you, but do you fancy the job anyway please?
  16. Can see this being a bit of an awkward one for Manning tbh. Would expect a lot of questions about pearson, what the club have said around him going etc. Imagine they’ll (Barton) will need to come up with some sort of plan to try and stop that - doubt they’ll be able to
  17. Now apparently opened talks with Matt Taylor, which shows that it’s been 4 weeks and they don’t want to appoint anyone that they’ve spoken to so far. Tinpot as ****
  18. Only took 6 weeks to get permission….. that must be what, 8 months quicker than anything else will get permission on average? Yet I’m sure they’ll still play the victim, City get everything from the council, bla bla bla
  19. I also find it baffling when people say he can’t play CB, or CB isn’t his best position, when he won Luton’s player of the season 6 weeks before we sign him playing there.
  20. Sorry yes totally agree. Didn’t mean to come across accusational, if it did! Its all very messy isn’t it. I know that the clubs (probably Tinnion) golden North Star is to have an entire starting 11 from the academy, and all being good enough to do it consistently, not just a token one off game. Absolute lunacy to try and work to that, also seemingly want to be top 6, with the owner saying we can basically sell a star player each window too. Nothing adds up at all.
  21. Semenyo, Belly & Tommy were all 19/20 when they got their proper consistent break through in the first team, as mentioned Ephraim is only 17, and a very young 17 too. May even have been 16 when he came out top of the SDS runs in pre season & Austria tour. Those extra 2/3 years are massive, he’ll be a totally different animal then.
  22. From what I’ve seen, there’s definitely some really exciting ones - but in defence of Tinnion, he may have meant even better in comparison to their ages, I.e arguably, or pretty much guaranteed, Raekwon Nelson is better than Semenyo was at 17, etc etc. What I would say is, they are all ‘proper’ athletes. Seriously. They’re all ******* massive, and rapid. Nelson, Ephraim, Jamie KL and Elijah Morrison have been the standouts for me of the ‘next batch who could come through’ whenever I’ve seen them. But you just really can never tell how they’ll step up into first team, how they’ll do on loans, etc. Every case is so different, and you’ll always get surprises, like how much Tommy came along after the space of about 2 first team games. If I had to lay a bet on the next ‘big money’ nest egg sale that’s in and amongst it, it’s Ephraim. I can understand some reservations around his rawness etc, but the lad is only recently 17 (!!!!) and he’s a bundle of pure speed and trickery, that not many will be able to deal with within the next year or two. I still have really high hopes for Jamie KL, has always looked like a real complete CB to me over the years, and I think he showed he’d be able to be trusted to start based on his cameo at Cardiff.
  23. Dave Rennie must be hiding in the bushes influencing things!
  24. I think Tommy will see the potential in the £££ from the clubs sniffing around him more clearly than the club potential/fan views!
