Dastardly and Muttley Posted May 29, 2014 Report Share Posted May 29, 2014 it amazes me how many gasheads think they are going to be reinstated, if and that's a really big if Wycombe are deducted points it will be from the 2014/15 season not the 2013/14 season, I thought and points deduction for administration or what ever only take place up until the 31st of march after that its carried over to the next season, they are non league the sooner the reliase this and stop crying the better I think there's a ruling in there that it carries over, unless it affects relegation/ promotion. The West Country club's goalkeeper and inside forward were found to have taken bribes to throw the game against Bradford Park Avenue, the attempt failed and the game was drawn. Rovers claim this now brings every result in the last 51 years into doubt and they should, by rights have won every competition since then and should therefore be admitted to the FA Premier League and EUFA Champions League next season. Chief executive Lou Knee-Tunes said: "It has come to the attention of Bristol Rovers FC that we once breached some FA rules and therefore history needs to be re-written". "This led to Wycombe and every other team wrongfully obtaining a competitive advantage over Bristol Rovers. "Without this, Bristol Rovers could have progressed by now to the very top of the football pyramid. Bristol Rovers have instructed specialist sports lawyers to draft and send a complaint to both The Football League and The Football Association. Just googled the circumstances of that Gas game against Bradford PA and as a result now know where the name of the poster "Esmond Million's Bung" comes from!! My dad told me last night that Rovers were making an appeal to do with an ineligible player for Wycombe - then when I read the full story that it was from 4 years ago I laughed like I haven't laughed since 3 May 2014. Truly embarrassing for them. So that original post of mine makes more sense does it? I hear that NLBR1653's solicitors are Norfolk and Chance. We were, and don't I know it. I'm sure I'm not the only City fan who had to put up with daily nonsense about how we were going down two years on the trot and the Gas were going to replace us in League 1 (yes, some of them did genuinely believe it). Not for the first time, their grand predictions ended up flushed down the bog and they looked incredibly stupid again, they ended up relegated. As you've already mentioned, 'he who laughs last.....'. Don't think for one second that retaining their League status in the grubbiest manner possible would give them any justification to feel smug after the grief they've had from us this month. Your either supremely arrogant, incredibly aloof, or just plain argumentative. Debate is good, healthy and can be interesting and thought provoking. Banter is all part of this process, yes I agree some people can go to far, but that would be a small minority..........you though appear to scorn all banter. What a boring world you must reside in! For what it's worth, my opinion is your just an attention seeker who comes across as a tad pr1ckly, you also seems to "get off" on arguing and rubbing folks up the wrong way.
