England - New Zealand

The new attacking style in England's ODI is very refreshing to see and great to watch. The games against NZ have been as exciting as the test matches were entertaining.

Although very different types of cricket and largely different players the positives and feel good factor will hopefully carry over from ODIs to the test match team and I'm optimistic we'll see some thrilling cricket during the Ashes series.

I don't think the Aussies will win the series.

We will beat England either 3-0 or 3-1.

There is no way we won't win the series looking at the two sides.

We are a far different opposition to the sheep fiddlers.

The perennial chokers who have never won a World Cup outside of their own backyard?

I don't get this love affair with NZ and never have.

If you don't understand why the All Blacks are such a celebrated team, I'm not sure I can take your sporting opinions seriously any more

I'm not 100% convinced that Australia will get out of that group at the WC later this year. The scrum is ******* dire and while they have some fantastic backs, they just don't seem to play 'together'. That said, the paper thin Welsh squad is already starting to strain a bit so unless they can pull a few international class players out their valleys, they may give you a free pass

I wasn't referring to the All Blacks rather the country of NZ. There seems to be in my impression of my time here some love affair with the place which isn't necessarily shared about us - but that's fine. We aren't here to be liked.

Anyway regarding the World Cup we will top the group and its between Eng and Wales who comes through with us.

We have quality in the back row that just can't be matched by the rest of the group.

A World Cup and an Ashes trouncing - this could be some summer. I can see my old man back in Brisbane in his England top losing bets a plenty again....

Listened to 5live extra a couple of weeks ago and heard Bairstow play a different kind of innings to win a county game  and remembered thing, why does he not play for England? Of course Buttler had a great innings the following day and showed that we have great competition in that position.

Yorkshire aren't going to have any players left at this rate! I do wonder whether Bairstow might come in to keep wicket, while Buttler plays as a specialist batsman? Bairstow is a much better keeper, but Buttler has to play in the one day team. I suppose Billings would be the man to drop out, but that's a bit harsh after he contributed yesterday

Australia face a fast-bowling selection dilemma for the Ashes, says coach Darren Lehmann.

Left-armers Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc are competing with right-arm seamers Ryan Harris, Josh Hazlewood and Peter Siddle for just three spots in the side.

Australia fly to England on Wednesday, with the first Test on 8 July.

"Those guys have given us a massive headache - albeit a good one," said Lehmann.

I hope not Johnson, for couple of reasons.

He is a hometown lad for me so I'd like to see him do well, he can turn it on in the big occasions and the way he tore the poms apart in the last series he has an aura about him. Half the English issues with Warne for example was in their heads.

I am torn between Harris and Hazlewood to drop one.

I think we need to play Siddle and Starc.
