Good game but also very clear demonstration of where we are short on the required quality. Some very dodgy defensive choices offset with some brilliant attacking moves. Naismith looked absolutely miles off it and not ready

Looking at the replay it seemed just to deflect as it came across to him so it just hit him rather than him hitting it. Can’t totally blame him for that.

Incorrect. A deflection off the defender diverted it from his intended contact.
