Max has been excellent all season. A mistake doesn't change that. Bloody hell, why have we got to leap to "get him in the bin" "drop him" "he's never been good enough" every time someone makes an error? It's bloody childish.

We still need to sign another goalkeeper in the summer. That’s a fact.

That was horrible times.

I remember Holden teasing in the week he made a plan to solve of LWB problem.
Step forward…Towler getting destroyed by Sarr!

Think it might have been Taylor Moore’s last game for us, too?

Love it he lets the awful shot slip under him, blames someone else. Full flapper Phillips style.

If he wasn’t an academy product, a goalkeeper would be top of everyone’s list for the summer

Indeed, it’s for this reason he doesn’t get the criticism he would if he wasn’t.

He’s OK, but he’s not of the quality of someone like Bentley, or indeed what you would need if seriously challenging for promotion.

He's been good for a fair bit of the season, excellent ALL season is pushing it a bit

Max messed up, he'll know that but I think people also have to realise he's under so much pressure as we released his backup option and he has to play regardless, it's no excuse for basic mistakes but if he has a bad few games and his head goes down he can't even be replaced, he's the only option. The way people pile on him isn't going to help either, as a goalkeeper you know when you've messed up and he'll be beating himself up more than any fan does, he really doesn't need the extra abuse.

Bell has been decent today, a few not-so-great crosses but as a whole, he's been great, but surely now is the time to either take Weimann off, move Bell onto the right and bring Mehmeti on or just take Bell off for Mehmeti, at 2-0 down we need a fresh attacking player who can test those tired legs.

He really hasn’t. The odd good game, a lot of not very good. Occasional the odd good game that ends up with him chucking one in undoing all his good work.

Has has excellent games. But top quality keepers are judged on their mistakes. Max has too many of them.

Unfortunately it’s not ‘a’ mistake now

It's not just the last mistake, he's not commanding enough generally and teams know it. He's not terrible, but will fall victim to the small improvements of an improving side over the Summer I believe.

Perhaps, who knows whether Bajic is the number 2. Good thing about Keepers is the emergency loan system allows us to recruit at any point in the season, so arguably it's the least important position to sign someone in if they're a back up, which they likely will be as Max has established himself as championship standard this season however much people want to over react to a mistake.

Personally I prefer two keepers in the building fighting for a place.

He's not commanding enough, yet people loved Bentley who wouldn't come to collect the ball and it resulted in the defence being overwhelmed as he never came to help them. Max may not be the shot-stopper that Bentley was/is but he's been far more commanding in coming out for balls, and being brave when Bentley let the blame fall on our Center Backs. Still pisses me off that people don't see this.
