When is Kalas back?? Last I read on the 8th of August he was back doing light training.

Not sure man, it's kind of at the back of my mind to be honest, I just keep assuming long term then it's a bonus when he's back.

Great away win on Saturday and all the subs looked tactical to me so no new injuries to worry about (unless I missed something others saw?). The oddity I did notice was George Tanner losing his place on the bench to Andy King, and given we had Williams and HNM on the bench it seems unlikely it was because Pearson wanted another CM available. Especially when you factor in Tanner's ability to play RCB. I'll leave him off the injured list for now but I strongly suspect a knock.

Bajic

Kalas

Klose

Benarous

So far, so excellent from this squad. Keep it up reds ❤️

Bajic part of the travelling squad according to Rich Forrester, Bristol Post, undertaking light “third GK” duties, replacing HWR.

Wonder if he will get the nod in u21s later today?

That'd be good to see. If the other three freebies from the summer are anything to go by I'm excited to see what Bajic can bring. I've never seen him play but I'm hoping for a penalty box commander.

Wow, with Klose and Tanner playing that just leaves:

Bajic

Kalas

Benarous

We've solved the great mystery of football. That season when we had ~17 injuries we were ~17th. Now we've got three we're third (well, we were until yesterday, now fourth). Get Bajic and Kalas back fit and we can plan the open top bus. :D

Bajic confirmed as fit and undertaking full first team training, hoping for an u21 game in next couple of weeks.

Kalas (as I wondered if was the case) has had another “procedure” and expected back in the autumn, October , maybe November.

Klose and Pring both played in u21s this week so I no longer class as injured (Pring was OTIB speculation).

I don’t think Pring was ever injured, just not making the bench due to competition, but I think both Klose and Tanner had knocks. So being very over cautious it’s:

Bajic

Kalas

Klose (played for U23’s so maybe ready)

Tanner (see Klose)

Benarous

Tanner returns to the bench. For the absentees, Wilson, Pring, Klose, I speculate Klose still has that knock and the other two miss out due to competition for places.

I’m nervy for tonight, Norwich are bloody good. COYR!!! ?⚪?⚪

Bajic is fit, played yesterday.  Klose played last week.

The only one we don’t know about is if Wilson has a knock?

You don’t think Klose would be on the bench if fully fit? That’s why I think he might’ve aggravated or something.

No new injuries I saw tonight is a plus, think all changes were just about chasing more goals. I really think we can do something special this season, but my god, the team need to sharpen up defensively.

No, I don’t….doesn’t make me right though! ?

He travelled today, and I’m not convinced it was just to see his old club.

I mean it’s really disappointing to lose two in a row after 8 unbeaten… but horrid fixtures to face back to back and we’re still top-half. Hopefully we can push on in the league after the break. And win the League Cup.

Gonna do something slightly different from now as some players play for the unders before reappearing for the firsts.

Injured:

Kalas

Benarous

Building fitness:

Bajic

Klose

Couple of close calls today. Conway and Scott off at HT surprised me (Conway clashed with the keeper about 2 mins before HT) and Williams almost hurt himself with a weird fall. But we’ll wait and see.

Yes, also difficult to be binary about who is injured or not, what classes as building back fitness, etc.

Im trying to stick to officially announced injuries, and then if they play in u21s, or if we are told they are now fit, then I’ll keep them as injured.

Impressive call at HT. You’re in Nige’s head. I struggle to ever want to see Scott off the pitch, though that yellow had slipped my mind (it was a darker yellow too).

Yea it’s not always obvious the status of each player. I just like to keep record for myself and figured I’d do it here so people could look at a glance. Some guesswork but hopefully with my shiny new category it’ll be slightly clearer.

Onto the bloody Nations League now, wish I could hibernate for a fortnight.

Nige just said the same re Scott’s yellow on BBCRB interview. ?

Me and my dad were immediately head in hands, saying ‘yellow, yellow, yellow’ in hope ?

I think it’s very borderline on being a red…but I think the ref gives himself a decision to make because he didn’t give us a foul for the first challenge, that allows the next two challenges to happen.

We’ve had some shoddy defensive performances this year but we dropped the already low bar today. A really weird game where we were always one pass away from imminent danger. Add in our missed chances and a typical refereeing performance and it wasn’t our day - at all.

Injured:

Kalas

James

Benarous

Building fitness:

Bajic

Klose

Also worth mentioning, Conway took a nasty hit but didn’t come straight off so we’ll see. Also, is Scott suspended for 5 yellows? Still more good than bad this season. Let’s back them for the 3 points on Tuesday.

Yes Scott suspended.  Will update my stats later.  Missed yesterday’s game, so catching up.

Pretty dull game really. I think we needed a win tonight after a triple loss. Attack isn’t functioning like it was though, ever since Burnley nullified us so well. Hope it comes back soon.

Naismith injured (never looks good when they pull up like that), Wilson AWOL. Question wasn’t asked pre-match so we’ll wait and see on him.

Wilson confirmed as injured in todays presser, Naismith injury doesn’t sound too bad, circa 10 days. Klose ever closer to the squad.

So 5 injuries plus Williams suspended for Saturday. Not ideal but let’s hope we can find solutions and get a nice away win.

I’m taking Nige’s press as Timm Klose no longer being injured.  I’ve retrospectively added Wilson to Tuesday night too.

Yea I agree, sounds like he's ready to go. My gut feeling is we'll start with King, Atkinson and Vyner at the weekend and introduce Klose at around 70 mins.

Shame about Wilson, hope that's not too serious.

I reckon he’ll gamble on Klose….because if I was John Eustace I’d be starting Jutkiewicz and Deeney and bang it! ???

Oh my. That was utterly terrible. That was on par with our struggling Holden performances, when we were atrocious. It might’ve been a little worse.

They may not deserve it right now, but they need us loud and proud on Wednesday. See you all there.

Cheers mate. Re Bajic, appreciate he's almost certainly fit, just leaving him on the list until we see him make the squad in the Cup or something, then we'll know the only thing keeping him out of matchday squads is competition and not a lack of 'readiness'.

A very welcome return from Kalas. A few players in the wars today but I think they’re all ok. Tanner missed out on the 18, hoping that’s just competition.

Well that was awesome. Throughly professional in defence, can barely believe I’m writing those words! We really missed Matty James didn’t we, but he’s back!

No Pring in the 18 is something to keep an eye on, as is Semenyo’s knock but optimistic both are fine.

COYR, Forza Big Nige ?⚪

Really quite upset with the players after yesterday. A win would’ve had us bothering the play-offs, which makes the disinterest all the stranger. I’d make a compilation of all the 50-50 balls we completely bottled but It’d just make me sad!

Kalas absent, we’ll keep an eye. Think all players came through yesterday unscathed. No shock, they didn’t challenge for anything! Ugh. Onto Swansea. COYR.

One fan suggested Weimann was limping.

According to Nige, Kalas had a tight calf and they decided (as a precaution) not to include him.  Sensible, having just come back.

Ah ok, well hopefully nothing serious for Andi. He may be out of form but we’ll need him soon. Smart re Kalas. Swansea team could be interesting, surely Naismith will be in contention for the bench at least.

You’d hope so. Whilst we have looked a little more solid at the back since his injury, going forward we seem to be more predictable.

And another. Plague rips through the squad as Atkinson also ruled out before kick off. Thankfully no new injuries on the pitch and a very tidy point!

We were really good tonight, although I do think Sheff U’s style helped us a little. But regardless, we totally outplayed a promotion favourite and were so unlucky, between there offside goal and our Scott/Semenyo/Tanner close misses.

The latter did then nearly kill a man, @Davefevs what’s protocol for a straight red? 3 matches? And can he play Carabao still (next Wednesday)?

No new injuries, Weimann and Klose recover from flu.

we are also past GW19, so next yellow card suspension is 10 yellows.

Those two are among the joint leaders for players who have been booked this season.

Are we notably more physical than other sides? Are we less smart, where do we need improvement as cheap yellows really can cost sides. I know it's a central midfielders lot to an extent but...

Although we're apparently only 17th for fouls committed yet it says we are 2nd for bookings (top 4 have 44 apiece) and 3rd for red cards??
