Popular Post petehinton
https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-manager-nigel-pearson-8848911 Veru much seems like he’s had enough of the contract situation, and is pushing for someone (SL!!!) to actually have some balls and have a conversation with him about it. Imagine he feels like he has strong enough support of fans and staff internally to be able to publicly say this too. Brilliant, and bloody good on him imo. 66 1 13

Popular Post nickolas
Would be very Bristol City to tie a manager’s hands behind his back like they have with Nige and the budget, yet to then get rid when hes done pretty much everything theyve asked of him ( budget etc ). Popular Post Dolman Block B
The management/owners MUST keep this guy for at least another season beyond his contract. He’s done really well and made us a battling good footballing team Fan base is increasing and I personally think all the fans are happy with NP at the helm !!! 33
Wedontplayinblue
How the club haven’t extended it yet is beyond me, Lansdown has been happy with many managers before to keep handing out extensions. Completely baffling how he thinks they would be able to find anyone better at the moment. 11

Popular Post And Its Smith
Lansdown needs us to go 5-6 games without a win so he can get rid of what he will see as a problem. Popular Post chinapig
Given that we sacked the CEO the person questioning team selection can only be one of the Lansdowns. If so when will they learn that they know sod all about football and stop telling a vastly experienced and respected manager how to do his job? 55 5
Popular Post Northern Red
"The last two weeks have been very irritating for me..." That suggests to me that he was hoping for some positive developments during the international break and either hasn't had them or, just as likely, has heard nothing at all. It's a shambolic way to run a football club. 52

This doesn’t bode well……getting rid of Nige would be the most SL thing ever!!! Sort it out Steve ……. It’s almost as if you want us to go on a losing streak so that you’ve got an excuse/reason to get rid of Nige… 2
One Team
That’s a “back me or sack me” statement alright. A dig at Radio Bristol too and getting an interview with SL and asking him the questions; or indeed SL and him speaking publicly.
Popular Post Henry
Anyone seen the sky interview? Apparently people higher up have questioned King playing today. I swear to god, if they sack Pearson and I’m chucking my digital season ticket in the Lansdown’s face. 31
Popular Post Red Exile
A Pearson departure any time soon would be the final straw for me...or at least a temporary break. He's currently making bricks with straw - and for us to be what are we - the 28th best placed side in English football? - with the support the Lansdowns have given him is close to miraculous. 54 10
Mr Hankey
I certainly wont be paying any money to renew my season ticket next season if the managerial spot is not decided. The Lansdowns are custodians of this club, despite what they may try and make you think otherwise. They are not the be all and end all, the sooner they are the gone, the better. 10 4

Nige must be laughing at JL and how little footballing knowledge he has. The bloke should at minimum be given a years extension rolling contract to carry on where he has us. Im not having all this ‘look where hes got us after Holden’ crap either. A thin squad full of kids and very little spend and we sit 8th. Give the bloke some hard £ and see what happens. i said when he was appointed he was a very unlikely SL managerial appointment. Not a yes man. Not someone who is ‘nice’. Absolutely everything we needed. A hard b-stard who is sorting us out. What a crying shame if big Steve doesnt like it and is having second thoughts. 14 2

Crazy, crazy football club. That’s exactly what I thought before the match. If City had lost today and then lose to Ipswich on Wednesday that would have been the poor run SL was looking for. It’s an awful thing to say about SL but the writing is on the wall for Nigel. SL will ignore the constraints NP is working under and will look for an excuse to get rid of him
