Anyone received their tickets in the post?

the person who got me one hasn’t received it yet and this is the last day I can pick it up from him before Wednesday.

if it has to be collected on Wednesday anyone know what they’ll be like about picking up a ticket in someone else’s name?

We’re pleased to say that your Nottingham Forest v Bristol City tickets will be available to collect from the Ticket Office at tonight’s Bristol City v Leeds United fixture.
Β
The Ticket Office will be open from 17:00-20:15 tonight. Please use the Ticket Collections queue, which will be on the left-hand side as you approach the Ticket Office. We strongly urge you to arrive as early as possible to collect your tickets at the Leeds United match.

If you aren’t attending the match against Leeds, you can also collect your tickets at the following times:

For those that are unable to collect from Ashton Gate at any of the above times, you will be able to collect at Nottingham Forest’s ground at the Away Ticket Office which is located at the corner of the Brian Clough and Bridgford Stands, approximately an hour before kick-off.
Β
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at Ashton Gate for tonight’s sold out match!

Nottingham Forest v Bristol City
Referee: Michael Salisbury
Assistant referees: Matthew Wilkes & Craig Taylor
Fourth official: John Brooks
VAR: Darren Bond
Support VAR: Michael Oliver
Assistant VAR: Natalie Aspinall

I still say it's a farce having VAR in some games and not others , all games in the competition should be Refereed in exactly the same way.

Even more of a farce for a replay where it wasn't used in the first game.

Yes they can useΒ  VAR in a replay even though it wasn't used/ available in the original match, but you can't select players for the replay that wern't available for the first game. Where the logic in that?

The logic is why would you not use var at a ground that has var installed? It would be illogical to not use it.Β

It wasn't used in the original match as we don't have var installed. If we did it would have been used.Β

Because, for arguments sake, they get away with a handball in the box in game one and we don't get a penalty but in game 2 we commit a similar offence which is missed by the referee but given by VAR.

But then the alternative view is that VAR doesn't get used and then we are denied a clear penalty that var would have given.Β

I know many don't like VAR but VAR is a great tool and should be used when available. VAR isn't the problem. The problem is how its used.Β

How is it fair when a team could be knocked out in round 1 because a lino doesn’t think a shot has gone over the line. But elsewhere in the same round, a team like Bolton win 1-0 thanks for goal line technology?Β
Β

How’s it fair if someone dives against Maidstone and gets a penalty and at Anfield, it wouldn’t get given.Β
Β

Imo, for the integrity of the competition the rules should be the same from Qualifying Rounds through to the final. That way, each team is off the same rule book so to speak.Β
Β

Appreciate the sentiment of if you have technology use it, but if it’s not the same for all participants then it’s not exactly fair.Β
Β

Going back to goal line technology argument. Maidstone vs Ipswich, at Ipswich a shot could narrowly go over the line and be given, the same shot at the other ground may not be due to the lack of technology. So a team could be out of the cup because of where they played and not because of the end result so to speak.Β

VAR has its uses but it's not a fair playing field for all those in the competition. It's possible to go a long way in the cup without encountering VAR whereas another team could be knocked out because of VAR. It should eitherΒ  be available to all or not at all or at least util the only teams left have VAR and of course for the final.
