I'll be at the game this afternoon, and as much as we all hope for an end-to-end thriller packed with incident and goals every time, I would be just as delighted to sneak a 1-0 with a fortunate deflection off Nahki's knackers from a yard out in the 96th minute I'm not sure he would be as delighted as you . 1 Quote Link to comment
Bow Legged Chicken
8 minutes ago, Sir Colby-Tit said: I went with a couple of mates and we decided to stay in a cheap hotel. Got so pissed before the game it's all a bit of a blur. I went for a pee during the first half and somehow managed to re-enter the seating from the concourse into the wrong section. Took my seat, wearing my City shirt, and quickly realised I was surrounded by not very happy Sunderland fans. Luckily for me a copper spotted me and escorted me back to the away fans section before any shoeings were dished out. Got some applause from the City fans for my efforts. After the game we went to find a pub and were just about to walk into one when a friendly mackem lass advised us that if we entered that particular pub it wouldn't end well. She kindly escorted us to another pub, full of Sunderland fans, where we were brought drinks all night. One of those pubs was probably The New Derby, where a Sunderland fan spat in my pint in 1977 (and they’d won!) My mate stood up and put his jacket on “we might get our heads kicked in, but I don’t want to lose my leather jacket.” A gang of Sunderland walks over, here we go I thought. “Wos the marrer wi your marrer? Pardon. Turned out he wanted to know what had upset my mate. Like you said, free drinks all night. 1 Quote Link to comment
bcfcredandwhite
I took my old dad up to Sunderland to see the Tall Ships a few years ago. Really enjoyed it - the people were very friendly but struggled to find any ‘nice’ pubs there. It was all a bit ‘run down’ and depressed. Or just less packed. First time I heard the “They’ve found Lord Lucan!” joke. (Playing Centre Forward for Sunderland/whoever.) Quote Link to comment

Silvio Dante
Just now, petehinton said: 7 subs, Roberts CB over Jamie KL. FFS!! That was my thought. If JKL can’t get a start with Dickie out then when will he? The not filling the bench is bizarre. The youth cup is over - if nothing else take Meerholz/Campbell-Slowey etc for the experience of being around the squad (like Medube is getting). Possibly the distance travelled means they didn’t want to have youth players coming to not get on, but it seems odd in what is a dead rubber. 4 Quote Link to comment
LondonBristolian
Thank Christ our exit from the under-18s cup means our manager can completely ignore the academy for a totally new set of reasons. Major focus on the club’s annual under-18s table tennis tournament? Edited April 6 by LondonBristolian 1 4 Quote Link to comment

Davefevs
Roberts is a LCB, why disrupt Zak to play JKL, unless you desperately want to go back-3. Slightly annoyed by only 7 subs. But only slightly. 6 1 Quote Link to comment

George Rs
According to Bristolcitylive Mccrorie is “definitely” on the bench. Not sure how they could’ve messed up the graphic like that. Edited April 6 by George Rs 1 Quote Link to comment
