I don’t get why people don’t like it when someone expresses an opinion on a forum?

Now I do sometimes think that myself. Although free speech works all ways

That was utter utter uttter utter garbage and to be frank so much of it has had to have effected season ticket sales, otherwise we would be hearing about it.

Im pretty sure I will renew my two but have held off. But that didn’t help. However what was obvious to me was how much we miss Vyner pinging diagonals.

This is nothing to do with the players.

It's the tactics that they are told to play. The "BACKWARDS AND SIDEWAYS" style of play is pathetic.

I don't like to see us lose but I want City to at least have a go at the other side. When our goalkeeper gets more passes than our attackers, it means that our tactics are negative and will never be the way to make progress and win matches. And don't forget that we were not playing against a Real Madrid, Man City or Liverpool. This was one of the teams that are destined for relegation.

So this match has confirmed that while Manning is still here, BCFC can stick their season ticket where a monkey stores his nuts. After early sixty years of season ticket, I've had enough.

You’re not allowed this opinion apparently, it makes it all about you.

Yes we were poor today, but not as bad as your post suggests.  Playing without any centre halves is always likely to be interesting and I’d have taken a point as soon as I saw the lineup.  It was clear that we were being protective of the back line, which was hardly surprising.  Yes, of course we missed Vyner, but we got a point which we probably just about deserved.

I know you're a genuine City fan, but for me what you've said is strange, as the pull to watch your club is usually stronger than not enjoying the odd game here or there and blaming it on the gaffer's style of play.

It is crap sometimes, perhaps like today, I didn't go.  But the Blackburn and Leicester games were fantastic, enjoyed them both.

I bet you ten grand you'll be back to watch games next season!

We didn’t compete very well in the middle of the park they kept going through us and we created nothing.

As I suggested our attacking options were actually lessened by not having Vyner hitting passes and no Dickie from set pieces but I would expect a shot worth it’s name.

But perhaps I expect more than I should as you imply.

After not having attended a game since Swansea for my own sanity, performances and results have picked up. Some on here and social media believing Manning is in fact the second coming. So against my best judgement, I decided to have another look myself.

Wow, that was dire! It confirmed everything we already knew. This new and improved Manningball was a flash in the pan. That my friends is the football you have to look forward to next season, which will come as no surprise to many.

Good luck all for next season. I shall look forward to a return to the gate in a year or two.

Unfortunately if you pick the occasional game rather than attend regularly, your chances of picking a “dog” are inordinately higher ! Were 12th . Have won 4 of the last 6 losing just once by a single goal , away to potential league champions . I’m not convinced by possession at all costs football either but I’ll take this run of results all day long over attacking “ charge of the Light Brigade “ football where we win one , lose one . I’m not convinced by him yet but I am convinced that he deserves a summer window , pre-season and until. Christmas to see what he can do . As for yourself , stay away …….. you’re clearly a jinx !!!!

I don’t pick the occasional game. I’ve been to every home game other than the last couple. But you might have a point about me being a jinx!

Dickie can carry it, Vyner can ping it.

Still not very sold on this back 3, think it wastes certain players and the side as a whole often look less cohesive but no Vyner, Dickie, Atkinson, Naismith makes it difficult- as I dunno whether I'd trust McCrorie, Tanner, Roberts as centre backs in a back 4.

This post is similar to the stew I just cooked. I haven’t cooked it for a while because I was bored of it, I cooked it anyway and it was crap. I won’t be cooking it again. Obviously for me it’s interesting and annoying - for everyone else a  complete waste of time.

I’m sure your stew will be the talk of the Bristol Sports office come Monday.

Exactly. Missing our two regular center backs hurt us as a threat

They didn’t really hurt us from set pieces or putting the ball in to the corridor of chaos. So I’m not sure to what extent we missed them defensively, although as someone said others were probably under orders to protect the back a bit more than usual. (Which they didn’t do that well from open play)

Back 3/4/5 usually depends on possession (one game we looked like a back six and I’ve noted it in once or twice elsewhere). Manning ball depends on fluidity of position in possession, injuries obviously don’t help.

I like McCrorie as he likes a tackle, Robert’s has looked effective recently and Tanner has had a good season.

Not sure what next season will bring but today was a bit of a free hit to try something, while nursing an untried defensive unit. But didn’t really do anything different except be a bit crap! Wells and Mehmeti are nailed on subs and we got what is familiar.

Mbude must have more splinters than Engval. (Was he even on the bench today?)

Not sure if you are a user of X/Twitter, but it was full of people after Wednesday saying Manning was the saviour, power phrasing of course. Couldn’t believe anyone had ever questioned him.

Without going through tweets back to Wednesday, no

Perhaps you'd be kind enough to say who on here (not Twitter/X) believe Manning is in fact the second coming.  It's easy to demolish other people's arguments when you make them up in the first place 🤣

We had good and bad games under Nige, we have good and bad games under Liam, and I dare say we'll have good and bad games under whoever comes next.  Meanwhile, enjoy your Saturdays in B&Q 👋

Fair enough.

How often are you going to post saying this?

I didn’t want Pearson sacked & definitely don’t think Manning is the second coming, but he certainly deserves a summer to bring in a couple of his own players.

You keep posting balanced sensible points Graham.

Likewise I didn’t want Nige sacked and don’t think Manning is all that either.

For me though he’s never been the key issue at our club, but I’ve seen enough in the last (prior to today at least) few games to think that we need to see how his assured reign will pan out without fighting each other every week.

He can bring in any players he likes, it’s his brand on football I can’t get behind.

People around me said the Blackburn game wasn’t great, they just made mistakes that lead to goals.

1) The players brought in will be from the same group as any other manager here , the final decision will be Mannings, the type of player, but they would have been scouted for some time by the Club.

2) Blackburn was good , very good. The press, the attitude , the intent , passing and movement was all good . Blackburn were shite and their Captain had a mare and a hand in3 goals, but that doesn't take away from the fact we played well. Possibly we even caused them to make problems by playing well .

But who's decision was it to play without centre backs ?

King, Tanner, Roberts, Pring Knight Lebel have all plated effectively in that position.

Or, don't play a back 3 requiring 3 centre backs.
