Fair point. It would be interesting to see if O’neill’s are looking to seriously move into the professional football market like Castore have and if any other bigger clubs decide to go with them.

I think it’s more the fact that Hummel was such an iconic and worldwide recognised brand, so to go from that to a brand that very few would have even heard of will probably be why its being seen as a bit tinpot. To be honest you only have to look at the football clubs they supply on their website, all clubs i have never heard of bar Wycombe. Says it all really.

Guessing we are a fairly big coupe for O’neils? Just looking at the list of football clubs they supply and we look the biggest club by some distance that they supply..

Shame to lose Hummel, not that i buy replica kits but the Hummel gear has always looked decent and for a big worldwide recognised brand the individual designs they did for us were always good. Without wanting to sound overly negative but you only have to look at the clubs that ‘O’Neills’ sponsor to get a feeling that this all seems a little tinpot IMO. Hopefully as others have said this is just a stop gap.

Would be interesting to know if Scudamore is on the payroll at the club. For Alexander to say he is ‘heavily’ involved would suggest so. My understanding was that Scudamore was an unofficial consultant so to speak, this interview would more a less confirm that.

In fairness there are some really big clubs in League one, many with fairlyish recent Premier league experience. Bristol Rovers with their dire recent history and home gates of 7-8 k don’t even come close to them. They are as delusional as they come. A that is in reality fit for League 2 at best.

Still early days for me on Cornick but I’ll be honest I haven’t been overly impressed with what I’ve seen from him so far.

Win against Sunderland on the weekend and I’m sure the play-off talk will re emerge.. Never say never of course but i would be absolutely shocked if we could win 10 or 11 out of the next 16 which is probably what would be needed to finish top 6. It would have to be a monumental effort.

Take a point. In reality we are still way off the pace in regards to the play-offs IMO. I still stand by what i said a few days ago that a top 12 finish would be a decent season given our circumstances.
