Bowled out in 18 overs, not a good day at the office
-
I've had the sound down for some of the commentary this evening, has Tom Abell mentioned when he'll be back?

Cheating pricks.
It's hard to see for sure but it did look like the majority of his body was over the boundary, so would have been very agile to have avoided a 4 there

Smeed drafted by Birmingham Phoenix for the hundred
I was looking forward to seeing us in the 50 over comp, now the ECB are denying us that.
Using 8 of our players in a competition not even staged in the South West. What a f****** farce it all is.
How can they take cricket out of one of the countries biggest cricket hot spots

Commentators making out Glos only 10 short, they’ve only taken 2 wickets, I think another 20 would have been comfortable with the hitters we had left

Wtf was that from Banton. We look clueless on this pitch
Banton has gone from being better than Jos Buttler at that age to being as good as Buttler from On The Buses
-
Poor start, Hildreth bats out a maiden and an out of form Banton skies one.

Considering his first over went for 10 he was even better thereafter once he got his length right
Yes, after a 12 year wait we’ll allow him an over to get his line and length right.
For years taking the pace off has been the way to go, I’m not saying he should be on 200 appearances but none is just odd
-
4 overs, 3 wickets at less than 8 an over.
I’ve often wondered why he hadn’t played before, not even tried out in the odd game, weird
-
All of a sudden in the week he turned 30, we’re all wondering how Jack Leach has never played T20 before

Yorkshire’s 240 too. Par this year seems to be about 200.
I can remember the John Player League, 40 overs each on a Sunday.
When Somerset got over 180 we knew we were in with a good shout, over 200 was thrilling stuff.
This was with Botham and Richards in the team. You’d need over 400 now.- 1

Abell doing the business once again. He has to get a shot in the England T20 team v India.. surely
As has Overton, what a cricketer that guy is, could easily bat in the top 5

Max is back, great to see the back of Crawley and Billings. Game on
-
My 25-30 short was being generous, I thought without captain Morgan we might get closer.
Nothing yet has changed my mind that we'll finish in the bottom 3
At least we're good in 1 format

They’ll get this inside 15 overs
I know Surrey are good but this bowling would go around the ground at club level

Deserves a go in England T20 at 4
Sadly think we’re 20 short, Surrey will cruise this
I was going to say 25-30 short, they're so powerful... but you never know if we get a couple of quick wickets
-
Great knock, Abell is really showcasing his skills this season

I was just looking at Surrey's scorecard for yesterday's match against Middlesex - a very impressive 20 over line up: Jason Roy, Will Jacks, the Curran brothers, JOVE and, of course, our old friend Gareth Batty.
It should be an entertaining game this evening.
They did look very good, perhaps we can hope they’re a bit jaded after a derby game last night and then a traffic jammed trip to Taunton.
For a county that has competed strongly in almost every tournament for a decade this T20 is the first time I’ve had close to zero hopes of us doing well.
I think the 50 over may suit us more, depending who plays but the championship is the most important and offers the best chance of a trophy I think
-
Jamie O batting at 5 for Surrey, another few big clean hits in 27 off 13.
Ive always thought both Overtons are capable of a top 6 place, especially in white ball.
Just a shame Jamie's forgotten how to bowl properly but I'm sure he'll get it back, he was superb this time lady year
Not that I'm keen on Surrey doing well of course
-
That performance couldn’t be more Somerset.
Swaying from brilliance to amateurish throughout the game

Does Brooks not play 4 day cricket anymore or has he just not been getting picked?
Just not selected. Fell down the pecking order after injury and an op'

Are you lucky enough to be there, or watching on a stream?
Stream, didn’t get lucky in the ballot

Just about par I would say. We need to bowl tightly in the power play
Yes decent last few overs gives us every chance

Struck the ball really nicely

We’ve been on the annoyingly wrong side of DL so many times, this a a real treat.
well, we started this seasons T20 so badly I thought we might finish bottom, bowled out in 18 overs today and we’re top for the time being. Incredible stuff.
