  1. At least at AG you know it’ll be nice and cold
  2. . I saw a bit of hop skip and jump there, or the Olympics as some call it, does that count? Actually it’s quite a different stadium nowadays so probably no. Plus a lot of us count grounds we’ve seen City play on and that’ll be new for everyone. Please not Monday night though

True, it does feel like it’s happened far too often. I couldn’t be bothered to go any further back to get more stats though.
  4. As always with this question, all season ticket holders would have been counted as being there, plainly lots weren’t today.
  5. Thought it was very noticeable that he didn’t look as comfortable on the left at Southampton.

The last 3 games we’ve come out after half time very flat and certainly not on the front foot. It’s cost us 2 goals v Boro, the winner on Wednesday and the equaliser today. All scored between 45 and 60 minutes. Must do better, change where you get the half time oranges or something.
  7. Watching the results come in I can’t remember a time where there were so many of our ex players, playing for teams above us.
  8. Interesting. It makes sense I suppose as far as being accessible, which the current ground certainly isn’t, but I’ve never been a big fan of out of town stadia. Especially a long day at cricket, it’s nice sometimes to nip into town, get some food or whatever. I wonder where it’ll be exactly?
  9. That’ll definitely be because it’s Christmas weekend, lots of people will be travelling on the Saturday or last minute shopping. Years ago it was always called Black Saturday and tended to attract smaller crowds as everyone would be Christmas shopping. Nowadays most people would more likely to be Christmas shopping in November
  10. The thing about away games is you can go and stand pretty much where you like. You can usually see where the trouble spots are going to be, avoid them and concentrate on and enjoy the game. And no I’m not saying these things people are witnessing is right but unless you’ve got an answer how to eradicate it, I know I haven’t, then just avoid it. I was there on Wednesday, enjoyed the game uninterrupted and didn’t notice any unsavoury going ons. Same with all the sold out away days in recent years.
  11. For those delayed going to the game yesterday, don’t forget you can claim money back. Ours was over an hour late arriving so should get all the money for that leg back. Unfortunately I was also 40 minutes late going back today, so some back for that too. I’d rather had been on time this morning than claim money having spent 1 hour 20 minutes on an absolutely freezing Westbury station.
  12. I’ve just looked it up, Millwall went from the relegation zone at Christmas and just missed out on the playoffs by 2 points, finishing 8th. Forest did Indeed have a dreadful start and were bottom and in all kinds of trouble until Cooper came along. However, I think by Christmas they were already up to 8th
  13. Didn't Millwall go from the relegation zone at Xmas to finish in the play offs a few years ago?
  14. Frustrating trip, train over an hour late, take away food average, pub decent, hotel room freezing with luke warm water. As for the game, decent first half that we edged but unlike Saturday we couldn't take our chances and go in with a lead. Once again came out 2nd half off the pace and once we had let in the goal they were masters at being one up. Our defence is looking as strong as it has for years, confidence up front us lacking but that could soon change with a goal or two. Mid table is well and truly ours
  15. Coach holidays from Wales, the Midlands and beyond to Torquay this time of year is a huge thing. Don't know about the rest of the south West but in south Devon it's certainly a year round destination
  16. Those travelling by train, its chaos south of Westbury. Been stuck for 50 minutes near Salisbury and still going nowhere. Trains backing up behind us, expect cancellations
  17. No idea. If you pushed me for a guess I'd say Sean Dickson or Ben Green. Or msybe tempt someone in from another county.
  18. I've always felt the responsibility of the captaincy has hindered Tom's batting. He's such a great talent and should have scored a lot more runs, maybe given it too early. He never looked relaxed as captain. Anyway we'll see how he gets on now, I'm predicting runs galore.
  19. Looking forward to a first midweek away game in a few years and also a new ground for me. I’m thinking a draw, which I would certainly take now if offered.
  20. I had a completely open mind when he joined and had done next to nothing on researching him. A few weeks in and I’m definitely warming to him. He wasn’t the sort to make a massive first impression which is fine but I’m liking what I see in these very early days.
  21. There was definitely an air of relief at the end, mixed with continued awkwardness
  22. Jon is so uncomfortable at this sort of thing compared to his dad, so fair play to him doing it.
  23. A second appearance at AG for Alex Scott today. Only this time, looking at his Instagram, he seemed to be supporting Man Utd or at least his friend Maya Le Tissier.
  24. I guess having a pie or similar is all part of the away day experience, hence the thread changing track. I agree on everything you say about Ashton Gate food, much better in recent years, not so good this season, must admit I’ve not had the curry goat yet this season but will do. The thing that gets me annoyed is how they have to cremate the pies, unless you get one before 2.30 they’re usually too dried out to enjoy any later. I get the H&S stuff but other clubs don’t seem to do this.
