Might be just me but I’m never as happy as I should be when a player is sent off against us. I know it was Bannan who’s got a good record against us but I’d rather let the game play out as it was supposed to. I don’t know the stats but it feels like we can struggle against 10. Not a single comment on today’s game! I’ve barely commented on any of this World Cup which I normally would have done frequently. I guess it’s because we have been so poor but just feel a bit meh about the whole WC in India. I love the 50 over format, I’m sure I saw a Times headline suggesting Mike Atherton think’s the same. A good full days cricket that requires skills from red ball and T20. But the fact our counties don’t play it any more with their first elevens has pissed me off so much I can’t be doing with it.

You might be right re Steve, it’s hard to know now he’s taken a back seat. I think Jon knows now he’s taken a gamble he didn’t need to make right now, it could have been a much easier decision to make down the line and he’ll be very worried about getting it right, I think.

We know the Lansdown’s are out of touch but I wonder what they’ve made of the fallout this week. As they still don’t seem to have anyone and rumours of being turned down by their 1st choice, I wonder if they’re thinking “why the hell did we do that?”
