  1. Personally thought G Nev had lost his head for a few minutes. Must hurt seeing his team lose 7-0 to his most despised team though. I f****** hated their Fergie era
  2. I am certain Liverpool offered Man Utd a load of players after the Munich air disaster? So i'm not sure that is particularly correct. There has always been a long standing rivalry between the two Cities. Liverpudlians did not like the fact Manchester had built a ship canal during the industrial revolution which effected the City's trade massively. In terms of Football, there has always been a rivalry due to the fact both clubs are easily the biggest two clubs in England, but it probably wasn't until Fergie took over United that they turned their attentions away from Manchester City and to Liverpool as they were winning everything during the 70s and 80s. Funnily enough the weird thing about both clubs is they have much more in common than they would ever like to admit, and glory hunters/Media love in aside it is a fascinating rivalry.
  3. Totally agree with this. I like Bell, obviously a talent and has a good future but i'm surprised that not many have raised eyebrows at him now starting ahead of Wells. Not that Wells has been firing much in the last month, but he is a better option than Bell right now. He did a lot of running about today did Bell, but that's about it. Too weak currently
  4. It's ok though as we don't ever shoot outside the area
  5. Poor touches everywhere, 2nd to most balls, forced passes. Oh well, Cardiff have deserved it so no complaints from me
  6. Too many people cannot separate the hierarchy of the club from its fans. The fans of a club will ALWAYS be the heart and soul of it, that's why I do not judge Man City based on who owns them. Their fans are a good bunch and majority have been there for years supporting them. The fans never asked for the club to be run by 'Abu Dhabi FC' but are not going to turn down success are they yet some on here sit here like we are morally superior, we are not. Every single club would be extremely happy to have what Man City have had in the last 15 years.

Kavanagh was always a thorn in our side. Was playing at a level below his talents, same when they had Whittingham.

Would agree with majority of that. Loved the rivalry in 2000's. Doesn't seem the same anymore. The journey to get to the Prem sounds great though, but the final destination I hear isn't as great as is made out. I personally would never care if Bristol City never made the Premier League, wouldn't bother me one bit.

Cardiff changed when they left Ninian Park. Just seems a totally different club nowadays, they went from a Millwall esque kind of club to plastic Reading.

Coming from Wilts, I still see Swindon as bigger rivals than Cardiff towards City as I don't know any Cardiff fans. I think on the pitch though there is no question that in the last 20 years Cardiff have been our biggest rival.

Had this in the gym last week. Was in a good mood and instantly saw that horrible quartered shirt and wanted to puke.
  12. It has felt this way ever since the redevelopment. Downsy does too much talking on the mic too, let the atmosphere build naturally from the fans in the stands. To be honest his entire tone comes across as patronising and 'look at me'
  13. To be fair most of their fans with common sense know they are a million miles off from where City are on and off the pitch. And by 'most' I mean all four of their half a dozen fans.
  14. I'm worried JL and SL are still obsessed with the old LJ era, being all chummy with the boss'
  15. If I'm honest, I don't think Man City's support has anywhere near taken off compared to what happened when Abramovich took over Chelsea. I very rarely see a Man City shirt around where I live. As stated above, attendances have on average increased over the past few decades. City's has gone up and down a lot from relegation to promotion back to the League we're in. Man City have had ups and downs too, so naturally it will fluctuate.
  16. Whether people like this fact or not, the dwindling stadium attendances and crowd trouble was the main reason the Premier League was formed and Sky took their chance on it. Football in England had to change to appeal to a wider audience, because in the 1980s it was a mess. Sorry if this hurts anyone's nostalgia by the way
  17. But you could also say that 30 years ago BCFC were averaging 9k in home matches. Maybe attendances on average have increased during the last 30 years in general?
  18. Bring back Tim Shires. Imagine having a stadium announcer who doesn't know the player's names from the best team in the Country. Imagine shouting Ashton Gate make some noise - it's not a pop concert you helmet.

Yep. It's been awful since the Lansdown stand was built. I wonder if it can potentially be moved elsewhere, and how it would look if moved to the Dolman, would be a real change, lower and a good view of the Lansdown from tv.
  20. Actually think their fans are a sound bunch, still have a massive core fanbase from back in their League 1 days in the late 90s. Can't help but feel sorry for them for the sheer misery of having Man Utd as your neighbours during the 90s and 00s.
  21. Numerous occasions he outmuscled the Man City players. The lad's an absolute unit (In a good way). I actually thought he kept Mahrez fairly quiet compared to Foden down the other flank.
  22. Kalas for me looked like the one player in our side who is a lot more used to playing against players of Man City's calibre. Had a great game last night.
