  1. Personally I haven’t seen enough of Twine to pass judgement as yet - he’s been out injured and played very few times - what is now 3 starts? ………….
  2. I guess you weren’t at AG when City put 5 past Blackburn? Whilst BR were crap City took advantage and played some great stuff. Today was entirely different. The Terries defended well and City huffed and puffed and just couldn’t break them down - it happens.
  3. Good to see a City loanee finding the net.
  4. Just saw that Huddersfield are putting on three free coaches for AG this afternoon - so they’ll have at least 150 fans in the Atyeo…………..
  5. I thought it probably was but wasn’t sure if she’s the only active female referee so I looked on the PGMOL site.
  6. I only remember one good chance that fell to Vardy which Cooper saved. I thought the Foxes were toothless.
  7. The Foxes were fairly toothless at Home Park. Vardy had a decent chance second half but his effort was saved - apart from that the Argyle keeper a relatively easy night. Looks as if Leicester have bottled it. Three 1-0 defeats. Us, Millwall and now Plymouth.
  8. I think it is Phants - if we’d had a female referee before then we’d remember it. Be interesting to see if the players react differently to her if she makes a dodgy decision.
  9. LJ never impressed me, not as a player nor as manager. He achieved nothing in either career.
  10. I doubt the terriers will be as defensively poor as Blackburn were even tho they’re dangerously close to the drop zone. I’m expecting them to sit deep and try to counter so an early City goal will force them out and that could be fatal for them.
  11. It was excellent - but look who the opposition were. Another great atmosphere at AG was when Christian Roberts scored the winner against the Monkey Hangers and the Dolman Stand shook! That’s probably the best atmosphere that I’ve experienced at AG. That said in the average league match the atmosphere can be non existent. It’s rare to see AG rocking. However for a league match on a Wednesday night against Blackburn the ‘buzz’ around AG was pretty good as City romped to victory.
  12. Vyner and Dickie have become a very decent CB combination, the best pairing at City for several seasons. Based on that it’s no surprise that Vyner gets into many posters top 5.
  13. The atmosphere within AG (or any stadium) is generated by the action on the pitch. The atmosphere last night was pretty decent despite a relatively small number of away fans and because City were playing well against a poor Blackburn team and scoring goals. LJ used whinge about the lack of atmosphere at AG not realising that his style of play was the reason - there was very little to get the crowd going.

    Sykes

I don’t pay too much attention to opponents players on a match by match basis. Obviously I’m aware of the better known players like Vardy, Szmodics and et el. As I posted previously imv Sykes is underrated by many fans including City fans.

    Sykes

Sykes is an excellent Championship player who in my view goes under the radar and the club would be crazy not to offer him an extended deal. He’d get into any of the top Championship clubs, one of only two other City players that would.
  17. Dickie, Vyner, Williams, Pring and Sykes. Hang on to those five and there’s a solid foundation to build around.
  18. Nope - that’s probably because they’re not any Dave. However Blackburn were defensively all over the place and City took advantage of Hynam having a desperately rotten night - you can only beat what’s in front of you as they say.
  19. Good idea but depends on whether A&S police agree to it. Cheaper tickets is also a sensible suggestion but personally I have little faith in JL even thinking about that as a sweetener.
  20. I wasn’t surprised to see Eustace make changes at ht but wasn’t expecting to see 4 all at once and I’m glad that I wasn’t a Blackburn player in the changing room. I can image how toxic the atmosphere must have been.
  21. No doubt Hyam had a ‘mare of a game and was their weakest link but he wasn’t the only one - the entire defence was a shambles cruelly exposed by City’s pace.
  22. I think Appydaze comment was tongue in cheek Graham. Max had very little to do all game.
  23. It’s important not to get too high or too low after a match as Manning would say but I’ll bet that all the players and fans are really buzzing having stuck 5 past a piss poor Blackburn Rovers who were defensively shite particularly in the first 45 but you can only beat what’s in front of you. Its refreshing to leave AG with that buzz after such a game - I can’t remember the last time City scored 5 in a Championship match.
