  1. Can't argue with that. Joe Cole, vastly overrated footballer and bloody awful pundit.
  2. That was poor losing to an Italian team without Immobile, Chiesa, Locatelli, Insigne and Spinazzola to name but 5. Not having scored a goal from open play for more than 550 minutes deserves relegation. And what was playing Sakha at left wing back all about.
  3. I don't dislike replays but one should be the limit. I don't think anyone would wish to see a repeat of the 4 replays it took Arsenal to get by Sheffield Wednesday on route to winning the Cup in 1979. I don't think we should accommodate the 'Big Clubs' for playing in Europe though. The FA should remind the clubs they only get to play in Europe courtesy of being involved in the English league and therefore the FA Cup takes precedence.
  4. Doesn't matter to me. I'll be watching Taylor Momsen strut her stuff with the Pretty Reckless at the O2 Academy.
  5. Interesting read. I like Son of Fred's 'thick as mince' comment. That's a new one for me.
  6. But they have Paul Ince as a manager and a need to advertise Select Car Leasing.
  7. We can hope it's not serious but it's an opportunity for someone else until he's back. Possibly Kane Wilson to right wing back and Sykes into the Weimann role.
  8. Perhaps Kid in the Riot has confidence in sunshine, or in rain or that spring will come again.
  9. Isn't the Netherlands to do with the ruling royal family from the House of Orange rather than their FA.
  10. Whilst it certainly couldn't be the sole reason for the spike it was most definitely a factor. There seemed to be a general rise in disorder and petty crime across society post lockdown. However, like Mr Popodopolous I'm not too worried as things seem to be getting back to normal and in the main there's a feel good factor about football now.
  11. I remember that one and had it too. Never quite mastered the Cubillas free kick though.
  12. I had the cricket. Great game. I remember once claiming a stumping when my opponent missed the ball which rebounded off my keeper back on to the stumps. The rugby (presumably early) version I had was poor as it was just a lot of discs and no model players. I also had the Subutteo Angling board game, and I really enjoyed that.
  13. Oh Christ! So I have. I'd re-read the May post. My sincere apologies. At least my keep strong wish still holds.
  14. Loved subutteo as a lad. Had lots of teams including Dukla Praha (although sadly not the away kit).
  15. After 2 years of bad news regarding friends health this is wonderful. Keep strong Bobby.
  16. We needed another fixture in October. It was looking a little light that month.
  17. Really because that type if dining is really not my thing (I'd sooner cook than eat out) and it's actually more unhealthy than going to KFC (not that I've been in one of those for over 10 years). A Nando's wrap contains way more calories and 3 times the sugar of one from KFC.
  18. Why is there always a question about Nando's? I'm pleased to say I've never been to one.
  19. Provided they don't get raided in January and lose Brownhill or Cullen Burnley will win the league. Rodrigues aside, they may seem to lack the firepower of Sheffield United, Norwich and Watford but they have the best midfield and look a real team. I'm not sure who will go up automatically with them but again January dales/purchases might decide it. As things stand I'm not convinced by Norwich. They have players to come back but will need them. We could and probably should have won at Carrow Road as their midfield created very little. Nunez is decent but Cantwell is a show pony who really should have been booked on Wednesday. If they keep players fit I'd edge towards Sheffield United over Watford. At the other end being behind in both points and games and having to play catch up in an already congested season due to the World Cup may be too much for Coventry. They are certainly not being helped by Hamer having picked up 2 red cards already. If they don't get a bump from a new manager, Cardiff could go into free fall. As for the remaining place I'd like it to be Reading, but one from Birmingham, Huddersfield and Blackpool is more likely, although Rotherham could falter if Warne leaves.
  20. 3 from 3, cant do better than that. Early days but we are top of the league, we are top of the league.
  21. No chance for Barton then? Hollow head?
  22. Paul Hartley is next. He's been sacked by Hartlepool.
  23. He has 5 bookings but one was in the league Cup. Does that not count towards suspension?
  24. Maybe. I was just hoping for National League rather than NL North. Torquay could certainly do with a hand at the moment.
