  2. Isn't that what we're supposed to do today ? At least, thats what Sky thinks.
  3. Nah, not having it. Bournemouth will be a struggling team and down before the end of the season. There will be much better clubs in for him imo. Hopefully, not today.
  4. Bournemouth ? Surely he can do better than that ? They'll be back in the Championship next season.
  5. It probably does if expecting Klose to be that player. But Atkinson is very good with the ball at his feet and more than capable of carrying the ball out of defence. But he is nowhere near the accuracy of Naismith with the long pass or sharp short passing. But he would do a job there if Naismith was unavailable imo.
  6. Looks that way at the moment, didn't realise that Diaz had 15 caps for Chile. Evertons bid for Pedro (Watford) fell well short, they've already signed Maupay but want another. Fulham may go back in for him though and Celta Vigo were interested (don't think they can afford it). Diaz may not be facing us on Saturday.

    Sam Bell

For me, Bell is currently too lightweight for the Championship, its a physically demanding division - Conway has been beaten up most games but he's toughened up this season and can cope with it. Bell needs to get regular games where he can build up to cope with the physical demands. I'm not really sure what level would be good for him, maybe L2/National League (not a lot of difference really).

    Sam Bell

I can see Bell, Towler, and Owers all going on loan today. As you say, they all need game time at a decent level. Can't see Kadji going anywhere at the moment and Pring is established here and had enough loans, he'll hopefully get his chance during the season.
  9. https://www.goodisonnews.com/2022/09/01/everton-look-for-another-striker-as-joao-pedro-move-collapses-today-sky-sports/ They wouldn't would they ?
  10. His first touch was a bit clumsy at times, but he's been out for a while. But 3 goals in around 75 minutes, two of them excellent finishes, bodes well for when he's fully attuned to games. Excited to have him back (hopefully he is going nowhere), he makes a huge difference. Boooom ! Is a good description of him..

    Sam Bell

I think the club are trying to get Bell a loan at a decent level.
  12. You must have been near me in E31, bloke was a nause, at least once a minute "FORWAAARD" or "GET UP". Nothing else, other than generally moan. So much so, I actually looked this morning (via the ticketing site) to see if his seat was a ST seat. If it was, I was going to move mine, he isn't a ST holder (first time this season he's been there thank Christ).
  13. We weren't anywhere near our best tonight but still won relatively comfortably imo. They had a couple of moments as would any opponent in this division (helped by a couple of mistakes by Naismith), but I thought they lacked quality throughout their team. Not impressed at all.
  14. I thought he had a good solid game. The thing he lacks is aggression, there were times tonight (as in other games) where I was willing him to go through the opponent, show him you aren't going to be mucked around, or stick an elbow in when going for a header. He would find games a tad easier if he just had that aggression. He's a good footballer in his own right though.
  15. His positioning in the earlier games was suspect as well. I said after pre-season that I wasn't convinced by him and that I felt he dwells on the ball and has a mistake in him. But without him half of our attacks wouldn't start and he's extremely good on set pieces. Rough with the smooth I suppose and on balance, he haas to be one of the first on the team sheet. I agree that if Vyner made the sort of mistakes Naismith makes nearly every game, he'd be slaughtered on here and in the stands.
  16. As I suspected - buried in another thread. Can't be arsed trawling though all threads trying to find it TBH. Each to his own.
  17. Not sure about Williams on the bench. He has to start midweek games at some point. Down to Rennie I suppose.
  18. 6/20 We're not saying you're dim but you need to be more observant
  19. Can't see a thread on it ? Is it buried under a different title ?
  20. Just had a quick look - no sign of it that I can see.
  21. Reminds me of Akinbiyi in some respects. Semenyo has more to his all round game, but the pace and strength are similar.
  22. No mention of this on their "forum" - surprised at that........not.
  23. Main thing is that Pearson sees it very differently.
  24. 5th. Norwich scored in the 94th minute..
