  1. Every U21 (old u23s) game I've seen (loads) has been positive tbh. I've a few poor first halves but rarely a sterile game. I've seen young players where I've thought "he'll be in the first team in a couple or three years" (Conway is a perfect example) and I've seen others which are ok but probably not up to the championship, and others where I've been totally wrong. But never sterile. Must have been a one off - have you seen many U21/U23 games ?
  2. Hope someone put this on that joke of a forum of theirs.
  3. The valves need to warm up then warm down after the game...
  4. HT "Deadlock yet to be broken but it's entertaining and competitive. Bamba's been okay but looks very rusty in possession - there's been a few wayward passes so far. He's shaking his head as he heads into the dressing room. Wiles-Richards have been the star of the show with his penalty save so far."
  5. Post reporter at the game saying young Bamba in a mix up with Wiles-Richards, bailed out by Low. Tempers boiling up apparently.
  6. I like him, decent distribution as well, comfortable with the ball at his feet. But where is Bajic ?
  7. Wiles-Richards saves the penalty..
  8. I think the games will be on Wyscout ? Not sure if that has started yet or how to watch. Maybe @Davefevs can enlighten, I think he has a subscription.
  9. Bamba playing is a bit of a hint with regard to him signing. He wouldn't be playing in this game just for him to personally keep fit, we'd have one of the young players in there.
  10. Only if you are at the HPC.
  11. Just sneaks into the U21s at the age of 37.
  12. Going for 4th consecutive win. 13.00 KO
  13. How we could do with him now. Hugely missed.
  14. Another poster (Seventeen I think) hasn't been to a game since thug Barton took over.
  15. Yep, but non of those three have done anything to nail down a starting place. If I had to make the selection it would be James first, Massengo second, and Williams third. Based purely on what I've seen so far.
  16. Exactly how I read it. If the likes of Rennie say "he's knackered and needs to rest" then that is "rotation". If a player plays crap, he's dropped - that is rotation. He won't rotate players to keep them happy in other words.
  17. Only if someone leaves as I understood it.
  18. I said he was a good player for us and I have no negative thoughts at all towards him. Just saying that he's not gone to a better standard - the Greek league is dreadful, League 2 where he was playing after getting relegated with Nimes is also a dreadful standard. He's not gone forward in his career imo.
  19. Nope. Ligue 2 is nowhere near the Championship. Greek league is similar to Scotland imo with 3 "big" teams (in relatively small stadiums) with the vast majority of the rest with crowds of 5k (or under). https://www.worldfootball.net/attendance/gre-super-league-2021-2022/1/ He hasn't really moved on in that respect. Yes, he'll get European experience, but he'd get that in Wales.
  20. More than good enough for this division on his day and one of the best technically in our squad. If he were under contract for another 2 or 3 years, I'd be hoping he would get a good run in the team to iron out the inconsistencies in his game - same as with most young players. But he's not signing a contract, so I think it is perfectly reasonable to use him to fill in when necessary - he aint going to get any better in this case, but thats down to him and/or his advisors. He's been treading water for some time. Could be wrong, but I'm not sure that he's going to get any/many offers at a higher level.
  21. You sure about that ? French second division ? Greek "super League" is probably the equivalent of the Championship.
  22. 10th September City 6-0 PNE
  23. Such a shame, he's exactly what we need at this time. Best of luck to him. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/baker-retires-from-professional-football/
