  1. 3-2 up Palmer-Houlden again. 3-2 FT
  2. Martin and especially Semenyo assisted most of his goals it seemed. The lack of midfield assists was negated. Maybe someone has the stats to confirm it.
  3. I'd never heard of him before the Euros and excuse my ignorance, what has he achieved as a manager ? I'm assuming he was doing the punditry as he's involved in the Womens game at Arsenal ?
  4. Easy to commentate from the side lines with no pressure - its on here all the time, every day. Bit different when its down to you to get a result.
  5. Brian Clark was only 23 in 1966, he played on for another 12/13 years ending up with Newport.
  6. Stats like that mean nothing without context. Bit like us - pointless.
  7. I can't see him leaving this window. He still has a lot to prove and the club will have put an astronomical price on his head for pure potential which I can't see any club paying. Secondly, the lad himself has said that he'd rather be playing championship football regularly than playing U21s for an EPL team or sitting on a bench week in week out, which is probably what would happen. Money talks of course..
  8. Maybe another 50m was a step too far. I would think the facility is equal or better than some EPL facilities anyway.
  9. Not necessarily imo. A couple of quick intelligent players around him will see the runs he makes and which are currently ignored. It would also allow us to keep the ball on the ground.
  10. Good shout, spot on.
  11. So you are counting L1 finishes as Championship finishes. I'm out.
  12. I don't think any clubs played on rutted pitches - at any level. Its dangerous FFS.
  13. Could be wrong, but I make it an average of 14th (18th, 17th, 11th, 8th, 12th, 19th, 17th)
  14. As you said earlier.
  15. Not quite as bad as BCFC v Sunderland.

For me, the strongest back three is Kalas, Klose and either Naismith or Atkinson on the left. Balanced with two very experienced internationals/ex-internationals in Kalas and Klose. If Kalas is physically fit, I'd play him against Coventry (if it goes ahead) and start him on saturday (I'd probably start him anyway if the Coventry game is off). I'd be much more confident with K&K in the back three.
  17. Seems like NP has recruited for three at the back (not saying its set in stone). Its only two games in, but there are signs that the form of the last 10 games or so last season is not being replicated. I'd give it another three games, but if its no better then a reassessment will be needed. If so, I'd like to see Sykes and Scott in midfield. A box midfield with Williams and James at the base and Sykes with Scott in the forward positions supporting Weimann, with a more pragmatic approach with regard to the wing backs. Lots of movement up top. It won't happen as it means dropping Martin, but I would love to see Scott, Sykes, and Weimann linking up, interchanging, making runs etc.
  18. If James was playing, he'd take them. Scott also takes a decent dead ball, no idea why he wasn't taking them. Not that Naismiths corners were poor,.
  19. All about opinions. Bentley was my City MOM (not much competition mind).
  20. If the pitch is rutted and has cracks in it, which I believe it does, then it is not playable, it is dangerous. Different to a boggy pitch or a pitch with more sand than grass which was the norm back in the day.
  21. Exactly. A large dollop of deja vu today.
  22. Didn't understand a word. I had no idea who the ex-players were and didn't hear a word of the tribute to the City fans who passed away, which was a great shame. Almost as amateurish as that effort from the players today.
  23. He is now. And rightly so.
