  1. Still around 1,000 seats vacant, which will no doubt be netted.
  2. Thats a matter of opinion. For me, Conway is way ahead of Bell. I think we'll be keeping Conway around the squad with Bell on loan to National League or L2. Towler to L2, he's more than ready for that level.
  3. The young players putting the "experienced" players to shame. King, Massengo, Klose, Wells, all very poor. Bell and Conway hardly in the game. On this showing, pending a second half epiphany, Tanner should get his nose in front of Wilson. Araoye looks a unit and has slotted in nicely, Taylor doing well, Towler with a couple of trademark accurate long passes which Wilson failed to control. Disappointing half when compared to the earlier game, but there are only probably 3 or 4 players in this team who can be considered as credible first teamers - all of whom have played badly this half. It'll be interesting to see the Bournemouth line up but I'd be surprised if it isn't the team that started earlier with Klose in for Vyner.
  4. What a difference from the earlier game when most of the first team were playing. This is dreadful in comparison.
  5. Entertaining game, bit feisty in parts as well. Sykes is deceptively quick and looks a good fit with Weimann. Martin looks to be getting back up to match fit and Atkinson carrying the ball nicely. James and Williams looked very sharp and Dasilva had a good game. Naismith looks a classy player, never seems to be rushed, rarely misplaces a pass.
  6. That was season before last. Last season we ended it in play off form.
  7. Well, you're obviously not as hard as a couple on here
  8. https://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/topic/312280-tyrreq-bakinson/#comments "Good in the air" Seriously, he has a good future if he can knuckle down and get his arse off the bed in the morning. If he goes to Wednesday, it'll be a great move for him and I hope he grabs the chance with both hands - big club, great support, what the hell are they doing in L1 ?
  9. It was 3-1 to swansea after 90 mins. They played another 30 in which the sags scored and it ended up 3-2 to swansea. Swansea drew 0-0 with Pymouth which means that we are miles better than swansea and Plymouth are miles better than the sags. Gas logic...
  10. Without going into the merits and demerits of the squad which has been done to death in the thread, and with the caveat that business is not finished in terms of transfers in or out, I see us as a lower mid-table team. If we take the 24 teams and split them into three groups of eight, I would see us in the middle eight towards the middle or just below - 12th - 14th. I think there are teams much stronger than us who will fill the top eight places with WBA and Norwich leading the way. If we end up 12th or thereabouts with some decent football along the way it'll be progress and good enough for me.

  12. Because they have the collective mentality of a 12 year old.
  13. Sainsburys sold out already..
  14. Some **** on here saying it'll be no better than last season based on todays game Jason Euell's interview puts it all in perspective - but it'll fall on deaf ears for quite a few on here.
  15. Lets not kid ourselves, we wouldn't play that side against a Championship team. Its a friendly game for conditioning, fitness, and shape. We looked good in all three areas imo.
  16. Bit of a weedy midfield and some serious players missing out, but its all designed to give players the requisite minutes over pre-season.
  17. All about managing minutes I suppose.
  18. Full strength gas team 1-2 down against a youthful Swansea XI at the moment.. Print that bastard Sam Frost
