  1. What’s his Dad’s experience at Posh got to do with it? Darren Ferguson seemed to think it was an attractive enough environment to go back three times!
  2. You’d welcome LJ back?! Good grief, please no ... just no! The majority of his signings were “one for the future” - farmed out on loan and then never heard of again - 2nd in January, 11th in May ... he oversaw that sort of capitulation a couple of times, he defo doesn’t have what it takes to get us over the line and to the next level - plus, when hearing him interviewed I can’t understand a bl**dy word he’s saying - never want to see LJ at the helm again ...
  3. Why would they do that? He can’t even get “it’s” correct in his forum name???!! ?????
  4. We drew 3-3 in a friendly/testimonial vs Man Utd and there was a ‘Bristol Reds’ banner in the away end - hated that - I knew a guy who arranged coaches to every Man Utd home game from Plymouth and Bristol - just can’t understand it - but pointless trying to as I probably never will! At least gasheads support a club in Bristol ...
  5. So with all the top notch honours they’ve won, why would you have Villa ‘fighting for 20th place’ in the ‘who deserves to be in the premier league’ mythical table?
  6. Villa? You’re joking right? They’ve won the top division in England 7 times, they’ve won 12 domestic cups and four European trophies ... 20th Place?! Hahaha! ?????
  7. I was only joshing chief! Anyone who references Joe Jordan in their forum name is top notch in my opinion - good on you!
  8. No it didn’t, the crowd was 10,534 for gas vs Man Utd - the Mem capacity at the time was more than that ... it was 12,300 I believe ...
  9. As you are pointing out who is wrong - it’s “you’re wrong” ... ????????
  10. Radio Bristol reckon they sell out for every home game - utter tosh ... they didn’t even sell out when they played a friendly vs Man Utd at the world famous ‘Mem’ ... and the Mancs fielded a strong team including players like Beckham, Solskjaer and Scholes I believe
  11. Forgive me - what is ‘FM’ referring to?
  12. It’s taken you longer to get “out of grounds like Villa Park and Anfield” - can you clarify? So you obviously were able to park within those two stadia and after the games it took you a long time to get out? Longer than when you parked within Wembley Stadium - really?
  13. The logistical issues one faces getting both into and out of the Wembley Stadium are very significant - your comment suggests, and probably confirms, you’ve never been to a game there ...
  14. With all due respect, you seem to spend all of your “football watching” in front of a tv, including Bristol City matches - this doesn’t give you the whole picture or a complete perspective. I used to think Patrick Vieira was a lazy player until I saw him play “live” at Villa Park - my God, watching him do the stuff that is never picked up by television cameras changed my mind instantly - he was awesome that day, his anticipation, positional sense, explosive strength, leadership qualities, technical ability were all on show for the people in the Stadium, but 75% of it would not have been picked up by the television cameras. Another one was Steffen Iversen, I didn’t really get why Spurs signed him, but then I went to White Hart Lane to see Spurs vs Man Utd and Iversen was fantastic, his running off the ball, positional sense and sheer hard work was wonderful, he dragged Jaap Stam all over the pitch and largely enabled Spurs to stuff a very talented Man Utd side - the highlight was a Paul Scholes diving header into his own net! It’s hard to judge a player sat on your sofa ...
  15. Thanks for this reply TR - I obviously know and accept that you are doing lots of things in the background - but I was making the point that your website suggests you haven’t done anything since July 2019 ... so from a PR and Communications point of view many people would switch off from your endeavours ... cheers ..
  16. Thanks Dolly, I clicked on the link on this forum to the Supporters Club and Trust ... and if you then click on the four main sections of ‘Representation’, ‘Heritage’, ‘Fundraising’ and ‘Community’ - you’ll see they were last updated in July 2019 - this is the link I followed: https://www.bristolcitysupporters.org ... and when you say ‘in answer to the question’ - I didn’t ask a question - cheers ...
  17. I doubt it - on the Supporters Club & Trust website, in all four areas of what they purport to do, all four pages say ‘last updated 22nd July 2019’ - so no updates on anything to do with ‘Representation’, ‘Community’, ‘Heritage’ or ‘Fundraising’ for nearly three years ... it’s disappointing I guess ... so I wouldn’t hold your breath on any ‘updates’ regarding representations on fans’ behalf about season ticket prices for next season ...
  18. Apologies for mentioning you n my original post Robbored, I edited it straightaway because I realised I’d made an error but you got in too quick with your reply!
  19. Brill! In that case there was more than one Bristol City flag out there as the one I saw was different but just as impressive!
  20. You’re spot on - I didn’t hear the gas chants on the East End until about 1982/1983 I’d reckon ...
