Ha ha ha, this really it utterly, embarrassingly laughable.

What a horrible action to take.

I love the final sentence on that letter : "Bristol Roverzzz reserves the right to take further action, including if so advised interim relief".

Yeah, I've heard they're all a bunch of "interim relievers".

Can someone explain to me what their argument is please I think I have missed something.

Due to a transfer that happened 4 years ago Wycombe have gained an unfair competitive advantage over the sags which has resulted in their relegation this season.

WTF??!!

Please help I really feel like im missing something really obvious that everyone connected to the sags can see...

a lot of rumours flying about but the one I keep hearing is to with the Matt Phillips transfer from Blackpool to qpr and the sell on clause that Wycombe got for it!

The implications are that what Wycombe were fined for in 2010 (Matt Phillips) they did again last season with loan players.

No need to worry the first draft of next seasons fixtures are being done this week no time to swap sides around now

NLBR's letter is now on their website http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/documents/fl-let235-1575808.pdf.  Just as embarrassing as the claim itself.  Among other things:

  • they got advice from the lawyer who also represents the agent now suspended
  • they suggest that Wycombe should have been punished after 9 April 2014, e.g. by a transfer embargo or financial penalties, and this would have made it more difficult for Wycombe to survive relegation
  • my favourite is clause 7, which basically says that if the FA does not investigate .....  but doesn't actually finish the sentence and say what the consequences will be.

Should we be demanding a name change - to South Gloucestershire Losers - as they are bringing the name of Bristol into disrepute?

Just watched Sky Sports News;

Diego Simeone has been charged with Improper Conduct after their European Cup Final defeat.

As a result, Non League Bristol Rovers will pursue their case to be reinstated as Champions of Spain.

Where will it end? If the horse punchers get away with this, what about the clubs at the top end who may have lost to Wycombe therefore depriving them of possible auto promotion or a play off spot? Demand the points back??

They better have some evidence to back this up as the words "may be others" is basically accusing Wycombe of cheating. Hopefully Wycombe are clean and the equine abusers get docked 20 points for falsely accusing a fellow professional team.

Fellow professional? Aren't rovers semi pro now?

Rovers may indeed have dug up some dirt which implicates Wycombe and warrants a punishment for them. However, the bottom line is that this 'dirt' took place years ago and in no way gave Wycombe any particular advantage last season. Unless the football league decided this is serious enough offence to expel Wycombe from the league (which they won't), then the worst case scenario for them would be a fine and points deduction for NEXT season.

Rovers haven't got a hope in hell of being reinstated to the league at Wycombe's expense and this whole charade is laughable!

I hope they try and find an excuse to be reinstated every week during the summer. It's nice there demise is being brought to national attention all over again. Would provide some entertainment till the World Cup. What's the betting they say Wycombes stewards should have controlled rovers fans better in preventing them entering the pitch. So should therefore be punished.

Even IF wycombe (and I'm sure they won't) get demoted, the tendency for the FA/FL is to reward success on the pitch by promoting the P/O runners up, Gateshead .

IF the Sags find something and take it to the FA and they act on it (unlikely) the most likely course of action would be a further fine or transfer embargo for the coming season for Wycombe.

IF for some reason (highly highly unlikely) the FA saw fit to relegate Wycombe in the Sags place, there would be appeal, after appeal, after appeal, not just through the FA but through the courts that would potentially drag on for months, well into the start of next season.  The fixtures are out soon and everyone needs to know what league to plan for being in.  This doesn't effect just Wycombe and the Sags but every team in the conference and league 2.

This is a complete non story.  The only story to come out of it is the continued embarrassment of NLBR.  They are a complete embarrassment and Nick Piggs should be thoroughly ashamed.

BRISTOL ROVERS have announced they will be appealing against every result since 20th April 1963.

The West Country club's goalkeeper and inside forward were found to have taken bribes to throw the game against Bradford Park Avenue, the attempt failed and the game was drawn.

Rovers claim this now brings every result in the last 51 years into doubt and they should, by rights have won every competition since then and should therefore be admitted to the FA Premier League and EUFA Champions League next season.

Chief executive Lou Knee-Tunes said: "It has come to the attention of Bristol Rovers FC that we once breached some FA rules and therefore history needs to be re-written".

"This led to Wycombe and every other team wrongfully obtaining a competitive advantage over Bristol Rovers.

"Without this, Bristol Rovers could have progressed by now to the very top of the football pyramid.

Bristol Rovers have instructed specialist sports lawyers to draft and send a complaint to both The Football League and The Football Association.

I understand BCFC is investigating rumours that Man Utd fielded an ineligible player in the 1909 FA Cup final against us, so that and every tournament since will need to be replayed....wouldn't want any event from the dim and distant past to blight our progress and give clubs competitive advantage over us in the present.....

nailsea the problem was it happened 4 years ago, so if the FA were to reinstate you they would also have to reinstate every club relegated from league two since 2010, thats not going to happen, all its done is made your club even more of a tinpot outfit

"Sad to see Bristol Rovers refusing their medicine" - thetwounfortunates website

"Really Bristol Rovers. Just really . Embarrassing!" - QPR fan

"Still laughing at how tinpot Bristol rovers are" - Portsmouth fan

"This is like hounding your ex girlfriend and driving past her house every night after she has dumped you. Take it like a man and move on. Dust yourselves down..go get out of the conference and come back stronger..but not like this. Rovers are a great club and this is embarrassing." - Port Vale fan

"Classless and how embarrassing for Gas supporters!" - Shrewsbury fan

"Utterly classless." - Lincoln fan

"Clutching at straws. I imagine all BRFC supporters will look at this as desperate and embarrassing from their board." - Luton fan

"Tinpot appeal to start off life in a tinpot league." - Lincoln fan

"If they carry on in this way this will be more lolsome than Luton's first four years down here." - Barnet fan

its a bit of a red herring the 4 years thing as it relates to a sell on clause that was paid to a 3rd party last year ... the key will be the talk of 4 other players being involved .. as i said the more i find out about it the more i think its the agent on a revenge mission and has found the perfect idiots who will play along (our board)

then as a club you should of dine this behind closed doors and not go public with it with a poorly written statment, it just shows that you are desprate to stay up which in turn brings the whole of football against you on this,

Higgs should be banned from running a club he is a complete tool with no class........perfect fit for the gas really
